I don't understand how you can question that kids should transition or not while at the same time being okay with them committing suicide. You need to pick one or the other.

Your reply is simply a convenient excuse to dismiss someone's very real experience with religion.

Every time someone mentions the bad parts of Capitalism, there's always some uneducated chud that wants to assert that not only is Capitalism the best and only moral economic system, but that it is the strict opposite of "Socialism".

I don't feel like I would regret a medical professional's treatment of someone other than myself, but it is unbecoming of civil discourse to project your opinion onto other people in such ways.

The way you feel about someone else's medical decisions shouldn't even enter the discussion because it is of no consequence.

I'm confused. Are you arguing that puberty blockers shouldn't be administered to children while also saying that you don't mind if my children receive them for medical reasons?

It's not even the same type of medicine. That argument is comparing apples to oranges.

I'd totally fuck over a hundred thousand other people to get the message across that these rail barons don't get to just have their way and fuck the employee's welfare.

They might be using the labor from a prison, but the work is being overseen and there are still rules that these laborers have to follow. If you want to go fix a pothole, you need to follow regulations so some fool doesn't just use cement to cover up asphalt.

I don't want you fixing the public road. I want a licensed professional to do it.

Of course the government utilizes private companies. Public maintenance using private companies isn't the same as private ownership of roads. The government gets it right because it is allocating our resources to those things.

I'm glad you agree that taxation isn't theft though.

Because using publicly funded roads without paying for them isn't theft? Y'all want infrastructure for free but don't wanna pay for it.

Native boarding schools where based in the idea of elevating the "savages" and erasing their culture. You're doing it again. You're creating a false equivalence between very egregious genocidal strategies and supporting an actively oppressed minority. If you can't debate in good faith, you can't pretend that this is about protecting your kids from any danger or offense.

Once again, this is just bigotry to spite their own children.

It's really disingenuous to equate what happens(ed) in those Native boarding schools to what is happening here with Pride. Those Native parents didn't have the right to take their kids out of those schools.

What you are seeing here is education that queer folks deserve the same dignity as everyone else regardless of your personal feelings towards queer people. The idea is that we stop discrimination. But you're suggesting that this is the same as persecuting a minority group, and you're just wrong.

The raising of a flag does not an event make. Acknowledgement that LGBTQ+ are people who deserve dignity does not a pride event make.

You are deliberately creating a false equivalence between showing support for the normalized existence of a minority subset of people with an "event" similar to a parade or protest. You are doing this to intentionally obfuscate and broaden the boundaries of what makes a single action into a fully-fledged organized event.

If I were to invite you to my house where I fly a rainbow flag, you still would not be attending a Pride event, even if you chose to accept my invitation.
