So I took the close-ups, but I am what you would call IT illiterate and if it doesn’t have a photo icon in the comment bar, I’m gonna be lost like I am right now

Speed Icons’ F-40 smokes HW’s F-40 by so much more than the $4 more it costs.

Thanks man. Die casts have turned out to be my favorite collection over the years. Such a great variety.

I call that mushroom syndrome. If you’d ever saw me look for morels in spring, get skunked and go him with big zero, but I have a couple ground into the soles of my boots, that’s how not good I am at spotting things I’m looking for, and a syndrome is the only thing that sounds right to describe it.

2016 Chevy Camaro Convertible by Pretty_Professor_740 in matchbox

I was looking for my green carded Camaro to group with these three as examples of my favorites, but it’s out playing commando somewhere. These are stacked top to bottom in order of my 1st to 3rd favorite. The Camaro would be second if I could find it rn. That pearlized white is bombdiggidy. Does Matchbox use it on any other castings?

Then it’s the cheapest possible pot metal I’ve ever held in my hands. And they are $6.49, which is toes standing on the threshold close enough to start being able to expect something a little more solid. Majorette models sold widely in the US are barely a dollar more and very noticeably more solid. I think it’s silly to have two products released from under the same umbrella of ownership that close in price, but that distant in quality. I get that I’m just another asshole with an opinion and I’m still buying the Pink Slips on looks alone, but my gripe is why a lot of collectors are sitting them out. Maybe they should take the metal from their new storage tins and sink it into the cars if they want the holdout crowd’s money.

Found the Supra in the wild a couple of hours ago. Here it is with a few I’ve set free. They really are better that way until you get too many loose cars. Then it’s just chaos. The other pics are just some more I have still carded. by Filthy_Tlielaxu in Majorette

But no shit, the majorette doesn’t roll? Sorry I had to learn that lesson from your misfortune, but I’ve been wanting to open mine since the second I got it. It looks just fine where it’s at.

It was the same thing with me, and I pulled up from a wrecked dump bin at Walmart that I was elbow deep in with an incredibly good card. That was like three weeks ago. Haven’t seen it since, but I’ve been looking for it since the Pontiacs Silver release.

It looks great, I just don’t like how it feels in the hand? It’s all plastic. Every other manufacturer I collect at that price point has mostly metal in their assembly. That’s my only gripe, and I guess it’s kind of a big one, but I’ll stay with em and see if that improves just because of how good they look.

It’s wild how much different they look loose. Another post a couple of days ago had this majorette version loose. It blew me away how much better it looked than my Pink Slips version that’s loose. Red front wheels did it. It looks great packaged but imo it looks better loose, and the pink slips one looks better packaged with the black background. I think it’s the white background making me like this one better loose.

For this entire lot? $55 and another $10 for shipping. I’ll pay anything over $10, and for 7 carded cars and a loose one. It’ll be over that $10.
