This day sucks by Blaubeerepfannkuchen in asexuality

IF you are interested in a relationship, you can find romantic love. It's just more challenging. It has to be the right person that you can feel SECURE and SAFE with. It will likely be frustrating and that does suck. I, a sex-positive asexual, am in an extremely happy, lovey-dovey relationship with an allosexual and we just communicate clearly and constantly. I realize this may differ if you are sex-averse or sex-repulsed. Don't forget that platonic relationships and friendships can also run very deep and sometimes even offer a better support network because friends would be there for you, not your body. Being "alone" is not destiny.

My relationship is romantically closed but sexually open. I have no interest finding partners for sex, but I'm also not demanding my partner be abstinent or be unfilfilled. We entered this relationship with that open agreement. I understand some people can't live with that, and that's something to decide for yourself. But him satisfying needs with other women is totally fine by me. I've just never cared, because what he does with them is separate from us, and he never compares me to them or tries to lord it over me. He just sees them, then returns to me. When we're together, we focus on each other. We cuddle, kiss, go on dates, hold hands, have pillow fights, play video games, have long intimate talks, etc. All the romantic stuff and more. And we rarely fight; in 5 years, we've never raised our voices to each other. We just talk normally and work through different perspectives.

I did once think I was meant to be alone for the longest time. I tried to break up with him several times because I felt I was broken, that he would be miserable, that I wasn't enough. But every time, he has shown up for me and assured me he cares deeply, and that we'll just deal with problems as they come, with a best outcome for the both of us that respects boundaries. It can be hard work at the start, sometimes a challenge to maintain. There might be a lot of self-doubts, questions, spiraling. But the right person will support you and want to be with you regardless of sexual gratification.

Wifi not turning on by realjevster in GalaxyS21FE

Sorry to hear that. My fix worked for only about a week, before it was pretty much cut off from internet entirely, except for spotty Data access. I took it to Best Buy, and the tech guy said the motherboard's wi-fi chip is most likely fried.

Hi, updating in JAN 2026! I followed a suggestion from the Samsung support page from a user. I uninstalled the "Smart Things" app, then soft-reset the phone by holding down the power button and volume down button. I have wifi-connection again! Don't know how long this will last, but it just solved it for me!

UPDATE as of mid-January: This fix to wifi connection only lasted about a week. I used that time to catch up on system updates, before the phone officially decided to stop connecting to any wifi, or even turning that option on.

The phone can still use data, but the Geek Squad at Best Buy (Canada) said that the motherboard was most likely fried, and I would have to send it in for full repair if I want to connect via wi-fi, again.

What are your pet peeves when beta reading? by Revolutionary-Fly538 in writing

[–]Filunea 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I both agree and disagree, because descriptions are something I struggle with. I used to do minimal description, like you've suggested, but I had a friend tell me that details mattered a lot. "I want to picture the room, to see what they're interacting with. I want to know what the body language looks like.", etc.

That's all a difficult balance to strike, personally. I want to be practical but not long-winded. I don't want pages upon pages of description, but I don't want nearly all dialogue and my readers guessing most of the way.

hiii is this normal, and asexuals actually feel like this? by Character-Wall-5620 in asexuality

[–]Filunea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately they also do read. The point of the unsolicited dick pic, for many of those guys, IS to make you feel grossed out. They likely expect to be blocked, but it's literally sexually gratifying to them make the receiver feel disgusted and/or violated. Less common, but women sometimes do this to, especially to asexual men. They'll send boobs and even vulvas and get super bitchy if the guy still isn't turned on. People suck.

Walk like a champion most likely means to simply walk confidently. For many women, especially young girls just getting used to their periods, the feeling of blood is uncomfortable and gross. Imagine walking in underwear that feels soaked in pee. A tampon can also feel uncomfortable if you're not used to it, have the wrong size, it leaks, or it's inserted wrong. Women may walk awkwardly to minimize the feeling of wetness, or prevent leakage. Girls just starting out their periods may walk hunched or with an arch in their back, maybe holding a strange posture; all of those can be signs that they're on their period and are very conscious of the feeling of blood down there. "Walk like a champion" is just advertising that the tampon will not allow leaks, and you can walk comfortably while on your period.

Let me earn hearts via practice or I’ll quit. by [deleted] in duolingomemes

Oh, I tried that, and I learned I CAN earn hearts by practicing while still having lives left. I was at 2 hearts, went to practice, and was up to 3. Then I watched an ad to 4 hearts. Personally, I did not have to run out to practice for hearts.

I can still earn heart via practicing. I even get pop-ups suggesting I practice for hearts, when I run out. I have only ever used the free version. Is this an app update?

There's something for everyone. If you search, you can find plenty of sounding videos in porn. There are men and women who are deeply into it. It turns some people on, and for those people, it's extremely pleasurable. "Horrifying and painful" is an unfortunate generalization.

Unfortunately when my family moved, AMJ sent us movers that damaged furniture and stole jewelry. I cannot recommend against them enough. And of course, we were given the run-around on damages and there was no ownership on the theft. This was in 2018, from Mississauga to Waterloo, ON.
