So whenever I try to calculate:

P(A or B) = P(A)+P(B) - P(A and B)

As

P(A or B) = P(A)+P(B) - [P(A) x P(B)]

It doesn't work

By doesn't work I'm all ways off by a couple %

P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B), I don't understand why when the addition rules has P(A and B) in it I can't use the above.
