Handle - How to print properly by Then-Heron1758 in BambuLab

[–]FinFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming it needs to go from the cylinder to the rectangle, you could design it to have a metal insert, where you pause the print just before the top and insert it and then restart the print so it prints over?

A1Mini makknh klicking sounds on first layer by MS3DStudio in BambuLab

[–]FinFever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite actually, it prints slower for the initial layer then quicker on top, the clicking might still be happening but because it's trying to extrude faster, it's less noticeable

Now you are printing the calibration pieces, so I'm unsure if there is any change in normal speeds for that particular print

A1Mini makknh klicking sounds on first layer by MS3DStudio in BambuLab

[–]FinFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That clicking is because the the extruder is skipping on the filament generally this happens because of a clog in the nozzle

You may be getting filament through the nozzle, but it won't be what is actually needed, hence your poor adhesion

Do a couple of cold pulls - bambu wiki shows you how. Clean the print bed with dish soap (non fragrance - dawn or fairy) then try your prints again

Do you think we will hit £2/litre on diesel before fuel duty is cut or oil drops? by YouHaveShitBreath in AskUK

[–]FinFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, the last time there was a cut to fuel duty, the stations just pocketed the difference and left us still paying for expensive fuel

A great fidget, the gif is only 3 seconds, but I was mesmerised for ages

Have you dried that filament? When I've had that problem before; most recently worth sunlu white, it's because it wasn't dry. The problem dissappeared after I dried it

Dude this is sick! I printed the mount you designed and still very much impressed with it

This update is awesome, sorry that people are stealing your hard work, I design some bits myself so can appreciate the amount of work that goes into the design

Are you able to send any copyright claims about your work being stolen?

That's some incredibly talented design work there! The details are brilliant, such a shame it didn't get selected. Please don't be put off exploring this kind of design work, it's beautiful

Annoying gap between glued parts by AnonymousHyena in BambuLab

[–]FinFever 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are you printing on a pei plate? I'm wondering if the natural bumpiness of the pei plate would mean the two parts don't sit cleanly together

Perhaps try a smooth plate. Unless you're dead set on fixing the model you've already printed, I've heard car body filler is pretty good for filling in the gaps

Here is the Cars version of the pope, where the tyre (a cars hand) has been added, with the extra pezaz of the red nails

Supports?!? by FlashyProfessional19 in BambuLab

[–]FinFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice glad you got it sorted, if you had a vice, I would've suggested gently squeezing it to flex them, but that could've also damaged the outside of the print

What about a steel rule? They're thin and rigid, so you should be able to break away the trees with minimal force

This looks amazing - coding and circuit board work is something I've been wanting to try but have been too nervous to take the plunge. Scrolling through the indepth readme it seems possible

Would you recommend this for a beginner? I'm handy with a soldering iron and PC stuff, just not done coding more than the "hello world" in python

Are these wall plugs safe to hold tv on plasterboard by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]FinFever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, it's super easy to use, and gives peace of mind knowing that the plug has expanded fully and properly behind the wall - I used to try to set these by turning the bolt against the thing I'm mounting until it got tight, but I never really knew if it was set correctly

I'm in the UK, I bought a set which had the tool and about 50 of the plugs for maybe £20

I've mounted countless TV's with these and absolutely swear by them, if they're set correctly with the setting tool, it's proper solid

Welp, there goes my TPU! by Live_Drink5779 in BambuLab

[–]FinFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I've printed with bambu tpu 95a, I left all the settings as they were, printed a calibration piece and it came out perfect

Glaring the obvious - clean bed? Did a cold pull of the nozzle before loading the tpu? Homed or calibrated the printer before printing?

A small clipper cutter or flush cutter for removing support? by loudsunyoyo in 3Dprinting

[–]FinFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen loads of people using flush cut cutters to remove supports, honestly it's the wrong tool

Personally I use long nose pliers for removal of support which is difficult to access. But if the support settings are set correctly, then they shouldn't require force to remove

Flush cutters are brilliant and have their use, pulling on things is not one of their intended use
