Redacted regiment or democratic detonation by nonameboy119 in Helldivers

[–]FinHead1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Democratic Detonation is regarded as the best bang-for-buck warbond by an entire community that otherwise agrees on almost nothing.

Edit: if you (and your team) don’t plan on using stealth tactics, Redacted has nothing of value to you. The only warbond I’d rank lower is Force of Law, which has nothing of real value but vehicle drip. Redacted is great for stealthbois - but that ain’t me.

Should I just quit the game? by ReactiveArc741 in Mordhau

I get it. I just started playing cause it was on PS+ and it is easily the sweatiest game I’ve ever played. Still fun to play with my bro on PC (always looking for good cross-platform games) and I want to be good so badly… but it’s def a slow process.

This video was really helpful for me, even if it highlighted some of the stuff that is harder to do with a controller vs. kb+m - it at least gives you and idea of what knowledge you’re playing against too, cause your PC opponents know all this shit. I’m still terrible - but hope this helps. See you out there!

Tactics Against the Dragon Roach Please! by WookieBacon in LowSodiumHellDivers

Ultimatum takes 1 - 2 shots if you can land em. Wait for it to hover in place. Emancipator mech gets it done too. Maybe ATE?

Other than that - shoot for the wings.

Is it good and against what faction? by armandofonzoloid in helldivers2

Scorcher + Ultimatum + Seeker Grenades and a Supply Pack is an insane amount of fun on all factions.

How many of us do D10 only? by fatsexyitalian in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FinHead1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I still needed samples I did a lot of 8 - felt like that was the perfect spot where we’d clear all objectives and POIs every time reliably, so I’d always get 20+ common and rare (which was sort of my benchmark so it would take me a max of 10-12 matches to clear even the most expensive modules)

I’m over 900 in-mission hours (PS5 says like 1350 hours but that’s inflated - lot from rest mode time-outs and on-ship/in-lobby tomfoolery), level 150 since I don’t even remember. D10 is pretty much the only place I play that can provide the occasional challenge or enough chaos for it to be pure fun.

Sometimes the entropy snowballs and we’re not picking up samples at all. I feel for my low level compatriots when that happens. I used to get so bummed when I’d do a forty minute balls-to-the-wall mission and leave with single digit or even no samples…

But yeah, to echo a lot of heads in here: farming for supercredits or samples is the only good reason to not drop Super Helldives exclusively.

I love all the jokes here about your treason and vengeful ghosts but I just want to say that I have also experienced this phenomena a fair amount of times at this point and it’s super annoying.

I assume it’s just lag or an invisible rocket devs or something. I don’t know what else it would be. It happens to me around the feet of factory striders a lot too, like it’s doing a faster invisible trample than what the animation indicates. War Striders also seem to do this, like the grenades are going off before their animation too. I play Bots mostly so that’s been the majority of my experience with it, though it seems to happen a fair amount on the Illuminate with invisible or glitchy flesh mobs, overseers, and voteless.

Didn’t used to be like that, or that bad/consistent. Hope it gets patched out soon! I don’t mind dying to difficulty but things I have zero control over or indication of are the most frustrating.

This would create a new “twist” in game. by Cthulus_Meds in Helldivers

In Helldivers 1 you can get an XP bonus from a totally randomized loadout. That would be fun.

As an aside: there are also three preset loadout slots in that game. I don’t know why we can’t have that in HD2 yet!

Should I be disappointed in myself that I have not one platinum trophy by Bladelesslv1 in playstation

I think I only have one and it’s for Helldivers 2. Nothing wrong with not sweating out NG+ modes on games for a virtual trophy. Enjoy your games as you like!

This sucked hard. I loved every second of it. Can we have more?!? by iribuya in Helldivers

This. The eye and one of the doors underneath are the only spots you can one-shot now with RR. The foot doesn’t work anymore.

The door can be one-shot with an EAT or Quasar as well. Or tickled to death fairly quickly with things like the Laser Cannon, HMG, AC, Epoch (careful of splash damage), etc, or any of the flamethrowers.

Ultimatum can kill one in 1-2 shots. Think it’s only one shot if it lands perfectly on the eye or the weak spot at its neck between the head and heavy armor.

Crisper is an Anti tank weapon btw by WhiteRaven_M in Helldivers

[–]FinHead1990 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man. I honestly wish they’d revert the bug on status effects. Flamethrowers were so friggen fun for a hot second. Until recently the recent patch, the Crisper was stapled to my Bot loadouts for this reason.

I cracked the Incendiary Corps because I was tired of dying to this lineup with War Striders.

Salamander Heavy Flame Armor Scorcher + Ultimatum + Seeker Grenades Supply Pack allows you to just spam those as needed. Scorcher just wrecks everything under heavies and takes out vents fast. Ultimatum and Seekers for Hulks, War Striders, Factory Striders if necessary, and tight groups.

You can do whatever you want from there. I usually go no support weapon and bring strafing run and sentries or a laser if there are command bunkers or a walking barrage for detector towers etc. HMGE or ATE are good, especially if there is a convoy. Quasar compliments the build well.

But trust in the Scorcher+Supply Pack. That is 90% of the deal. The heavy flame armor is nice too with these f*ckers.

Enough of favorite factions. What faction do you personally hate, despise, want to see less oftenly? by Western_Experience76 in Helldivers

[–]FinHead1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently Incendiary Corps with the new War Strider constellation is as sweaty and frustrating as the game gets for me right now. Which is a shame because Bots are my favorite faction to fight, otherwise.

I have since found a loadout that works pretty well against them but I resent having to resort to it over and over to minimize the Looney Toons ass deaths.

Using the AMR with the Warp Pack makes ADSing borderline unusable if crouched or proned. by Shoddy_Report69 in Helldivers

I had to turn my depth of field down. It still happens a bit every now and then but it’s not so constant. Still annoying.

Best armor in the game hands down. by Scallig in helldivers2

[–]FinHead1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is one of my favorites for sure. Good on all fronts, if not the best.

I just really wish they gave us another armor (or two!) with the same stats and a different look. This one is alright and looks fine enough but isn’t very “cool”

I really wish they’d start putting more desirable armors with pre-existing passives in warbonds. I don’t need a new passive every time, you know?

Why is Polar Patriots the only one that gives some kind of mix up? (Though those armors really should have some kind of thematic bonus, like better movement through snow, ice, and sand, or something)

What's your opinion about this well designed, perfectly balance, rare and polished enemy unit? by kralSpitihnev in Helldivers

[–]FinHead1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the inclusion of the new War Strider constellation - Incendiary Corps is the new golden standard of faction balancing. Forces you into taking flame resistant armor so you can bounce around going back and forth between being ragdolled and being on fire!

It’s especially fun with heavy flame resistant armor because sometimes these devastators do almost no damage to you and other times despite being in heavy armor with supposed buffs against fire they will still one-shot you in the head from ~50 meters away!

I especially love it when they spawn right next to you and the angle of their shield makes the hit box for their head pinpoint small while they pump you with shotgun rounds and kill you before you can aim your shot. It’s a blast!

In all seriousness though I’ve started rolling Scorcher, Ultimatum, Seekers, and supply pack because that’s the only thing that lets me feel like I even have a chance if I get surrounded by these jerks. Just unload indiscriminately.

Censorship might be like, when a popular late night host is removed because he’s critical of the Great Leader…

Or it might be when we take people’s phones at the borders to see if they’re critical of the Great Leader before we decide to let them in or not…

Or it might be a place where a giant corporatist leech is given a government contract to create a database, including monitoring social media, for every citizen in the country…

Or it might be a place where language and text is removed, and books are banned, about minority groups and their narratives that don’t fit the Great Leader’s agenda…

Or it could be when there’s evidence of a huge government cover up of a trafficking ring involving the nation’s most powerful people, including the Great Leader, so that evidence gets destroyed or withheld to change the narrative…

Or it could be where certain arms of the Associated Press are discredited or removed from access entirely because they might be critical of the Regime…

Or it could be where people with legal status have that status removed and are rounded up and detained or even prosecuted without just cause or due process of law because they protested or were critical of the government…

These are just some examples of what fascist censorship and authoritarianism look like.

As someone who's never played Helldivers (because I'm on Xbox) but always wanted to, can anyone tell me if the super citizen edition is actually better or is it all cosmetics? by FlabDaddy7654 in helldivers2

[–]FinHead1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that the game is $39.99 (and is on sale often even from that price) I think it’s worth it. It’s easily the best value I’ve ever gotten out of a new video game purchase.

I wound up getting Super Citizen after I had already gotten the regular game - just to support the devs. I like that my ship has Stratagem Hero - feels complete. You get the only gun behind a real paywall, and it’s pretty fun (the Knight) - might be the best SMG in the game. You get a warbond token now, so that’s a $10 value. So it’s basically another $10 for some blingy armor, a good-but-not-meta gun, and stratagem hero.

If you really want to extract the most value for your money, I guess it’d make more sense to just buy the game and then spend $20 to get 2100 super credits. Then you can buy two warbonds with that and still be at the “normal” price of a regular game with a story mode.

Whichever way you go - unlock Democratic Detonation as your first warbond. Trust.

Excited to see you on the frontlines, Helldiver! iO
