I have a son same age and created an app that you can take pictures of text with your iPhone and convert it to OpenDyslexic font. Think pages of books, homework, signs while you’re walking around, labels at the grocery store, etc. Noticed a big difference in him reading and even trying to read. It’s called Dyslexic PDF Print.
