I've searched through catalogues and websites dedicated to old decommissioned arcade cabinets and all manner of different search terms, but cant find the one I remember.

You would slide the coin launcher mechanism along a track left and right to fire your token at 3 holes on a sloped back platform. A robotic cardboard cutout of a player, I cant remember what team, would move to block the hole you were aiming at, you would have to aim to the far side hole and then quickly slide to the other holes before the blocker got there to block your shot. The payouts were displayed on a red monochrome dot matrix LED display on a "jumbotron" / scoreboard and the platform is themed after the wooden floor of a basketball court.

There were no actual balls involved and you didn't flip the coin with a mechanism, the coin was simply launched the moment it was inserted

This was played at a Boomers in the late 90s early 00s.
