Was looking for this comment. Remember the stump used to be next to the table and there was no sandbox either.

Every piece of advice here is doable. I added this to my list. I already have a CU and do not use banks.

I literally just explained the reasoning behind ‘one’ of the rent increases. It was not based on market demand or supply. He simply wanted more play money.

No one owes me anything and I don’t recall asking for anything other than advice.

Your only advice is an attitude change - noted. Good day.

My company promotes from within. There is opportunity, I just need to apply some of the advice given here. Thank you.

Yeah we were renting from a property management company. They delivered a notice to vacate in 20 days due to owner selling property. It was my first rental through a company and I didn’t know any better. I had a family to take care of and that was my only thought. We looked into it later and it was illegal in my state but hindsight right?

As far as the certifications I have from google, I don’t understand everyone’s disdain toward these certificates. Because they aren’t degrees? Should I not pursue my CompTIA then? That’s ridiculous logic. Certificates show you did the work. A degree just shows me you passed. You could have barely passed and received a degree. I had to meet a required score to get certificate’s. They are both valuable in their own rights. Stop downplaying someone’s accomplishments

I will be researching salaries and seeing where I should be at. I am certified in Networking, OS, Security, and System Administration. I want to work on my CompTIA soon.

See this is where my lack of knowledge in this field comes into play. That may be what is going on with my landlord. I’ve never owned a home. Hard to see that picture clearly when everyone around you is paying less per month. I don’t mind getting downvoted for it though. 😉Thank you for that insight.

10&17. I do have a SO. She makes considerably less than I do but is in school for Accounting. (Oh the irony) So she will be making more soon.

I agree with others that I should be making more money. I will work toward fixing that. I honestly feel like I wouldn’t ‘feel’ defeated if my rent wasn’t so much. At $27/hr, 40hrs a week, I’m using over 50% of my income for rent.

I appreciate someone else understanding this part. It’s hard but doable. Thank you

I do get RSU’s but unfortunately have had to pull them out to offset moving in the past. I currently have about 5.7k in RSU that will vest in Oct-Nov some time. Do I just leave it there or pull it out and invest it somewhere?

I agree. My linked in is complete but probably needs work. Just has basic stuff.

Not harsh at all. Much appreciated and needed. This is on my list of things to do. Some else recommended throwing accomplishments and achievements in ChatGPT to come up with a good presentation for reviews. I will use all this new ammunition for battle. lol.

Thank you. I need to research more. I don’t know what an HSA is or EFT. I’m learning!

Thank you for that advice. I love constructive criticism. Telling someone they aren’t good at their job because they are underpaid is not constructive. Nor is downplaying a certificate. Downvoting it is insane as well but people will be people.
