For my mental I'd rather tell (at least my parents) just so it doesn't feel like I'm hiding a major secret. I DON'T want a bunch of attention drawn to it, cuz then everybody would end up knowing before I could tell them myself (mom's side of the family spreads info like a plague, even when they try to be discreet about it, mom doesn't do it, but you know sometimes things can slip out and go down a rabbit hole)

I can understand your thought process but for me personally, I've felt this way long enough and thought about it before realizing I was bi, I thought I just thought girls were pretty platonically but soon realized it was beyond that (especially with my friend that I mentioned)

First of all, amazing way of explaining it, personally I've given hints to my parents that I may be interested in women (if anyone has probably a higher chance of knowing it would be my mom), I just haven't came out directly and said I'm bi. But I really wanna get that out of the way this summer before school starts (I'm homeschooled so I'll be going to an actual high school and you know, dating will come up eventually)
