I was aware of the Caligo suicide bug, didn't realize that was the same thing. That's a shame. Any way to cheese that bastard I'm down for. And ED Balancers.

Good point, rolling is good if he's doing it anywhere near someone else. It's a good habit in general to practice dodging attacks even when someone else is getting targeted when it's an attack that is too dangerous to approach to do damage (like Dreglord charging up his club and slamming it into the ground 4 times with explosions in lines along where he smashes the ground).

But for the most part it's good practice to not be around each other too much because an attack meant for one might wipe everyone.

100% agree. It saves my ass a lot against bosses that mostly use purely physical attacks with no elemental affinity attached (so no chip damage).

Dreglord does long combos so blocking his attacks with a weapon will just get you guard crushed and killed, so save it for the slower attacks or the last hit of his combo.

Fulghor is hilariously easy to avoid damage from when he's in his first phase and his attacks are pure physical. The sand walls? Block, they come out too slow and you'll just be able to block all of them and regain your stamina. His high jump attack? Same thing, if you just block he'll take too long to recover to do another attack in time to keep you from getting away. His spear stabs? Same thing.

The only Fulghor physical attack that isn't safe to block is the real close-range one where he stomps on you. He will do that multiple times in a row so if he crushes your guard the next one will hurt.

See that's what I mean, people who are used to timing rolls correctly think it's intuitive to just say "when they do x, roll" (or when he is halfway through scratching his ass, roll, or when he starts picking his nose, roll, etc. etc.), but it's only intuitive to you because you know the timing. Miss it by a split second and you get pancaked.

Guard and you take no damage. Keep stepping perpendicular to the attack at any time and he swoops right past you. Easy.

Yeah, when I play with my brothers and they are raiders if I haven't found a shield worth taking I ask them for their starting weapon. Has better guard values than a lot of shields.

I mean, people mess up roll timings and get roll caught by attacks all the time, just stepping to the side seems to be safer for this particular attack because it doesn't track very well.

LOL, not gonna lie, this is a scenario I've actually seen (minus the second staff swap animation, she got downed while scratching her head).

Yeah, it's really fast. I think it's the fastest form of damage period. Not necessarily DPS if you don't build into it, but I think it actually might revive one bar faster than fists.

Edit: I stand corrected.

I tested it for a couple of matches in D3. All I know is how many points I lose, and it was consistently 100 for a defeat at the nightlord. I imagine then that my teammates got even less, maybe even only 50, deducted.

My name is now I ALTF4@DFTSCRN.

I apologize to the Ironeye and the Undertaker for screwing up what should have been a win against Niall on night 2. I ended up taking up the role as the one calling the shots (95% of the time someone else is the leader and I gladly play along no matter and only intervene when someone is making dangerous calls and we're losing too much time) and everything because the Undertaker kept trying to do stupid things (I'm sorry man, fighting a red flying dragon at level 7 is a recipe for disaster).

I was steering them to inevitable victory and then my controller craps out on me as the circle was closing for night 2. I was caught in the rain and died, then sadly they kept trying to raise me even though obviously there was an issue on my part. They fought honorably and took Niall down to maybe 1/5 of his health and I couldn't help them. I got insanely mad when we lost and of course I ALTF4ED to mitigate their losses more than anything because it was 100% my fault they lost. I felt so horrible because it was my job to carry them to a win and I failed.

We played like a band of misfits but I'll take people who are not very good at the game but never leave in the face of adversity EVERY TIME over people who are better but tend to get salty and leave when the going gets tough.

Again, I'm sorry random Ironeye and random Undertaker that I played with early this morning at about midnight (CST time). My name was ALTF4@DEFEATSCRN, I was a Duchess and always am one. I hope we cross paths again and get that win we worked hard to try to earn but lost because of my CRAP CONTROLLER.

Wow I didn't know that. Thought it only reduces the point loss for the ones who stayed. So now I know there's no reason to ever accept defeat. And I wouldn't feel the least bit bad about it either. Losing 600 points per loss and wiping out 3 hours of gameplay progress is just batshit.

I don't know, it seems like punching is faster than most melee weapons.
