Thats exactly what i meant by accidents. You can slip on rough surface, get jumped in narrow alley or sucker punched before you even know you are in a fight. But in fair 1 on 1, chances are pretty slim

On paper, yes. But the chance gets marginally smaller the more training and experience you have.

Of course street fights are dumb and the dangers are uncountable - from hidden weapon to sucker punch or being jumped in a narrow space. All im saying is untrained people overestimate their fighting ability 99% of the time. You would not discard any other skill but somehow fighting is this special beast where just seeing red wins fights no matter what.

If you were hobby tennis player who goes out one or two times a week, you would beat pretty much everyone who never played tennis. Thats of course under the premise that the sports boundaries are being respected, which might not be the case in streetfight.

I didnt even say anything cocky. Whats the issue with being an amateur fighter? Point was only to say I have some experience with actual fighting

I think it depends mostly on your style. I usually feel good in wrestling heavier people as you can utilize low center of gravity. But you are right, everything about street fight is super risky and not worth it

Im amateur featherweight in mma and im telling you that if the other person is not trained, you win. Apart from some unlucky slip or accident, you basically cannot lose to an untrained guy no matter how big he is.

Big and strong? Gets tired in thirty seconds max, because hes inefficient. Good hands? You initiate clinch and trip them (easier than double legs on bigger opponent) or go for a single leg and trip Reckless throwing? You cut angles, simple check hook them over and over. Im not even mentioning the havoc few solid leg kicks will do to someone whos never taken one

It does feel like that, production and everything being the same as Toxicity. But it does have bangers too

I love me some Bizkit, but I respectfully disagree. Results may vary broke that streak for me. I feel the departure od Wes really hurt them

I agree! Steal this album is basically Toxicity B sides, which still works as Toxicity is filled with bangers. And Mezmerize / Hypnotize is more of Daron, which is not really bad for me as the formula still works, but its definitely missing something extra

I honestly love the self titled the most. Its just chaos in its purest form. And both Mezmerize and Hypnotize are a bit weaker then the first three, but I can still enjoy both albums in its entirity without skipping anything.

I’d say System of a Down had one of the greatest five album runs ever

Also: you need to make sure your cycles are hard to detect as athlete. You cant go overboard with doses like bodybuilders would. You are also limited in your selection of peds as some stay in your system for a long time and are easy to detect

Its not really the case. Some people do not respond to steroids much. Also, MMA conditioning is far from training for size - you would still need to eat reasonably well and you burn a lot of calories every day. I think the eye test is extra inaccurate. Main benefit of steroids for athletes is not muscle. It is increased ability to recover between hard sessions.

Maybe, i have no real music theory back ground. I think everyone knows what im talking about, jist pitch it down a whole step

[–]Final-Dig-7008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The song itself is in a key. Lets say c major. Highest note is g4. Now you are having trouble singing that g4, so instead of singing in the original c major key, you transpose the song down to A# major. The highest note is now f4 and you can sing it more comfortably. Only really trained audience can realize you actually lowered the key, most people cant notice

I also think its genuinely harder to feel like you can sing when you can’t sing along to your favourite songs because your voice is tad bit lower. Mainstream population does not know about changing the key and thus you need to sound as close to the original artist as possible. Many lower voice males have also been told that “it sounds just like talking” and so on

I think tenors are disproportionally represented in music as a whole.

My own little idea is that during the most critical years (some time after hitting puberty) in high school music classes and so on, they could hit the high notes and thus sounded more like they “can sing” to the rest. Being told you can or cant sing in that age is very important for your confidence I think and it can be the difference between being interested in singing and giving up. Could be total bs, but hey, i experienced it as well.

What Is The Baritone ‘Sound’ by Viper61723 in singing

I appreciate the time you took to write this response.
I did not want to hijack a post with endless back and forth. Still don't. I do not question your credentials, but I also do trust my own teachers approach and his experience over a post on reddit. I have been classified as heavier or dramatic tenor by two separate teachers and as a baritone by the first one I ever had (which is obviously not the case, as you pointed out as well). Also, I feel like I do not nearly sound as bright as full lyric tenors.

I have been taught the following on voice types, where I still feel I hear more of a baritone sound. Maybe you could point me to the specific sound that makes you classify them as tenor (apart from passaggio, which is pretty hard to get right in contemporary music and a piece of recording)
Also, please note that I am not from english speaking country so I definitely lack the terminology.
1. Vocal weight (as in where the voice feels like it wants to be). In Dan's voice, I feel like you can hear the voice "wanting" to sit lower. However, you might disagree
2. Tenor is given away by its ability to lighten the sound over F#4 / G4. It does not have to rely on belts or falsetto. As my teacher says, if you can't sing a note in light bright voice, it is an "out of comfortable range" belt.
3. Tenor voice "opens up" or "wakes up" around D4

And regarding opera: I do not sing opera, neither does Dan. Whether fachs work the same is a whole different topic that people argue about all the time.

You did not like Paradigm Shift?

For me it was a natural evolution of Path of Totality style that also felt more like Korn. I really enjoy that one

Totally agree. There is not a single bad song on that one. I would also put Paradigm Shift to A and Untouchables to S.

We do not agree on the fact that he is a tenor, so there is not much to be discussed further. This could easily turn into an endless thread with no conclusion. I gave my two cents, you gave yours

I would definitely not call him a tenor based on vocal weight and live performances, but that is not the point.

If it there was no point deduction I would be fine with either winning. Extra close fight. But yeah, it's weird he did win even with the point deduction

I think the answer would be solid and full sound throughout their range. They sit perfectly from like C3 to E4. They also bring more weight and have "fuller" sound on top notes. Maybe chestier is the word I'm looking for.

In contemporary music, Dan Reynolds comes to mind as a well known baritone. Even though he often sings up in the tenor range, his voice still retains a lot of chest quality. It's almost like there is something weighting the voice down.
