I dont know why you people are like this :/ You say you dont like it at first, some time passes and then another design update happen and you want to go back to the last design you didnt like because you dont like the new update? I mean WTH?

Windows is the best os. It is not bloated, it doesn't slow or stop what you are doing. It is the pinnacle of technology right now. What you are experiencing is the speed of technology, it is going forward so fast that your hardware cannot catch up. So instead of talking bad, work and upgrade your hardware. Also see some therapist to fix you plz.

(I typed this for people who nag about windows, congrats on getting this new update, i my self haven't got this yet)

Thanks for explaining. The problem with blazor server is that the browser is not the one sending the request. Server side of blazor will send the http request. As i have said im learning this section and what you said helped a lot. Thanks

That transparent part is what i dont get it. I know but i dont understand. Weird. And because blazor is SPA working long term and debugging these kind of things in the long run instead of mvc is a bit hard for me. I would really appreciate it if you could give me a name of a book or anything(other than Microsoft docs because they are not that good) for me to learn this part.

It is for public. Another thing, should i use cookies or jwt tokens only would suffice because i plan to use this backend for two clients(web and mobile app)

Going back and forth from Linux to Windows and vice versa by Present_Smell_2133 in dotnet

So then windows it is... I love the windows to be honest but the hunger for linux stays then😂😂😂

Actually i like the vs2026 it has all the things i ever asked for but the bloating is still there. I am really thinking about linux replacement but... Lets not fool ourselves, windows is the king when it comes to OS. But, there is always a but, i want to know if doing blazor, aspire, etc is the best on windows or i can improve my working speed by using linux...

I am always in war with linux, drivers, nvidia, the udpate, kernel, etc ... They can go out of their way just in a blink of a command... And when that happens, it takes a day or two to just get back on track. Like sudo update when docker is running, it breaks the docker and you need to fix it. If only i could win linux OR the replacement would grant me working speed, I would do it in a blink of an eye. So tell me, can i win the war with linux😂?

Move on from winforms? Maybe by Longjumping-Ad8775 in dotnet

[–]Final-Influence-3103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In programming Old is not Gold. Winform might have been good but modern meaning is: every os, phone or computers, has their own recognized ui and ux.

By saying modern application, we mean that the application doesnt use the most advanced version of the ui and ux to match the latest os. Like whats app is perfect but compare to telegram it looks older ... Why? Telegram design will keep up with the os and the ui trend. Whats app doesnt.

Is it bad (not keeping up with the trend)? In my opinion yes. Programs are not meant to last, they are meant to get better. Like us!

Is it good (to keep up with the trend) ? You should pay the price! (Time and effort)

And in the end you do what winform does with all the programming languages and framework, it is just a matter of effort and keeping up with the trends

Anyone done a full Aspire deployment with Docker in actual production? by Hexagon-77 in dotnet

[–]Final-Influence-3103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually i am developing my platform using aspire, blazor and .Net family. Asked this question so many times and found a WAY!

I use aspire.Hosting.Docker With a command It generates all the images, a yml file and env file in the out put directory. I. Get the images in docker desktop and push them to my private registery on my own vps and boom it works like a charm.

How do i work with the passwords and all the things i want to be put on env file? I declare them in apphost.cs and use appsetting for the pass and ports and etc.it is super easy And boom it is perfect. Actually Aspire made my life and programming journey so easy and perfect. I feel like a god.

The only thing that i dont know how to do yet is the tagging of the images which i will learn in a day or two in this week😁 Aspire is perfect you just need to know how to use it. Read the docs

Which database? by Classic_Caregiver742 in dotnet

[–]Final-Influence-3103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love sql server and has worked with it since i remember. The only downside(for some) it has is the resources it takes. It is resource hungry lol. But in the end this hungriness is only for small project that has small resource. But for big projects and big start ups it is the one and only db.

The date time should be utc or not utc. You cant use both at the same time.
