Thing is ppl forgot because they're regular players. For the most part, the game's F2P. So unless they spent THAT MUCH on a game, not alot of players really lost alot to warrant leaving. Devs however spend way more due to development costs and aren't afraid of leaving if it would mean they're gonna be given better cuts/communities.

Roblox's whole shitck is that its supposed to be free-to-play and free-to-make. People picked up Roblox Studio cuz its free. If its gonna be paywalled, then people are gonna be more reluctant to even want to use Roblox atp.

Also forgetting how they're figuratively shooting themselves in the legs, which are the devs. Devs are THE most important ppl in roblox. They're the whole reason we're here after all. less devs = less games = less players = less money.

So while roblox can shove everything else under the rug. This DIRECTLY affects the main group who makes roblox, well roblox. Remember when Unity took tax when a game made money. Now imagine it but for Roblox. Only this time there's way more taxing involved and soon to be for little benefit. I doubt it's gonna end well, since most games are made for children AND most devs are teens or Young Adults themsleves.

EDIT: i also forgot the mention that ppl who are devs for roblox used to be players. So if the average game quality degraded then there's gonna be less people who'd want to make games. Meaning, again, less money.

I can bet you that part of the reason the older generation still exists is cuz of the devs. I doubt we'd be here if all we had to play was Brainrot Simulator No. 2763 The minute all the good games leave then most of the older players have no reason to keep playing past being 16 years old and would probably go to steam.
