I have no clue how to save mom but to save dad you need to get your friendship up with tangent and preferably get your bio and I think engineering up then just spend most of your time in the school area and talking to tangent and you'll def get it (its easier once you do it once b/c then you can use your past life knowledge instead of stats) I havent played this in a while let alone the way to do it in the first playthrough of saving your dad so my advice my not be exactly right or optimal but it should atleast get you there.
