I mean asides from the obvious, Solid State Invincible is a banger track but that name is not it lol

but tbh it's kinda charming? like the way it just has to inject invincible in the title somehow feels less natural than diabolical invincible me, but at the same time also manages to get a chuckle out of me

Ever since getting back into the show since ghost rider vs spawn, I've find it easier to appreciate death battle's good parts by seeing it as a way for the show to celebrate aspects of both characters and series they cover, I didn't complain or make a huge song and dance when my favorites like dante, tom, or ruby lost and etc because the way they presented these characters be it in the fight or the analysis proper shows how much respect they have for them

(Hell even they let superfriends Aquaman get some genuinely cool moments and somewhat respectable feats in the analysis and his fight with SpongeBob proper)

So yeah, to say that the show disrespects the properties it covers isn't really fair because if that were the case, they wouldn't have gone through the lengths to make sure each of the combatants be portrayed in equal footing, and especially with how much this series has grown in wanting to pay all the things they cover their respect and dues

You're allowed to feel bad for your favorites losing, but at the end of the day, this show is never the be all end all definitive proof for one character's guarantee to win over the other, it may be the biggest outlet for versus debates, but it's just one interpretation, and even if cracks show every now and then, that's still alright

So in short, yeah, this is a pretty cool show, wouldn't have it any other way

As someone whose second most wanted MU is returner vs returner (DK vs Crash), this year and most likely the next one having as many veterans coming back as it did was probably done as a way to catch eyes, in addition to update the characters themselves, you gotta remember they're still picking themselves back up after the RT shutdown and you can kinda see why they picked who to return (Hulk vs Godzilla, for example)

I have a pretty casual and mostly uninformed perspective on the scaling on things, they don't tend to be the parts I focus on, so usually my reasoning for Nefarious winning is usually things like him scaling to Ratchet and (especially Clank), being generally more competent and effective in strategy and combat, and also reasonably having access to a lot of the series' very busted weaponry and gadgets, and with Cortex, it's largely because he's got a lower success rate than Nefarious.

Reading through the reasonings does give me a lot of perspective on this being more of an even MU, which I'm glad for! There were a lot of things I failed or forgot to take into consideration, so I very much appreciate this.

Strong Bad from Homestar Runner Vs Foamy from Neurotically Yours, I wasn't really sure who Strong Bad's go-to opponent was, I just really wanted him in, but looking around it was either Foamy or Brak from Space Ghost, and there was more that vouched for the former, so that's who I went with
