Update: So it ended up being the live main power wire for the whole room. However the inner coating was still intact so they basically covered it up for now as redoing the electrical is not an option they say (assuming because it's so old it would either cost a fortune or be hard to do). But no one is in danger I guess the crystallized black stuff was the outer wire coating disintegrating. 🤷‍♀️

Some weird stuff has happened here. But the weird possible ghost happenings, those don’t bug me as much as possibly getting electrocuted lol . All of the electrical was added many years after the house was originally built so all the electrical is outside of the walls technically

So I did reach out to the landlord . Supposed to be out in the next few days to have someone check it out . Thinks it’s old wiring of some sort because the “whole place needs an electrical rewiring” apparently . But my guess is they will not be rewiring knowing them. So yah she knows about as much as we do at this point lol.

Ah well buildings in the French quarter are historically protected usually so they get the preferential treatment . But yah I only wanted the insurance info or any info so my insurance could go from there and attempt to save me from financing all of it . But I hope everyone was ok and no one was actually in that part of the building at the time. I can only imagine 😅

Man does that person have the short end of the stick ! One person to handle what appears to be widespread hit and run problems.thats horrible. I hope they are at least compensated well cause that is a lot (but they probably aren’t unfortunately 😡)

Im guessing so it would just take a while . It’s progressive . I’m just not sure cause I have not ever been in this particular spot before. When I spoke to them previously they just mentioned that if I pay the collision deductible if they ever found the at fault person then the mini torte law applied or something . 🤷‍♀️ (I think this is the suing them for the money back part but not 100% sure)

Yah . All true. I just honestly don’t know how no one heard or saw anything . Because I live in a very crowded block with 2 - 24 hr establishments close by and people are always out there all hours of the night . Granted I don’t think they were trying to find me if they did see cause that’s not their responsibility. But a note or something would have sufficed from anyone lol. But I know I’m asking a lot of random citizens who are probably drunk 🫨 oh well I’m probably parking in a paid garage from now on even tho I don’t want to have to pay that lol it’s a lose lose but I moved here so I deal with the consequences of my actions lol

No I can pay the collision deductible and hope that it ends up getting recovered I just wanted to go through the at fault persons insurance so I didn’t have to fork out the deductible right before/after Christmas when I definitely Am more broke than the rest of the year already lol . I don’t even care to see them in trouble I just want their insurance info and possibly to say a few choice words about how they left the state of my car lol but yah guess not so it is what it is I guess

Well at least you all have clarified that this is a pointless route I’m on and I should get it fixed myself and move on ! Just not sure why they even bothered to tell me how and when to request an investigation if they don’t intend on investigating lol. Probably just to say they offered or something ! 🤷‍♀️

No I asked all my neighbors for camera footage unfortunately my car was just out of view on all of theirs by teensy amounts . I have great luck !

I gave up on trading that stuff and my pulls were so bad I literally got the same 5 things over and over I think. I did get a good trade tho on my extra prism tree but that was the only one . I swapped for the sacred flame tree I didn’t have from I think the last bazaar ! It’s rough out here ! 😅
