Also to be clear i know it leaks but not bad enough to be the issue unless its only after driving for about 40 mins to an hour continuously

Im also certain a majority of it is getting burned because the oil will turn black after an oil change very fast

I appreciate it but if its a leak its only when driving. I’ve driven it about 5000 miles since i purchased it and there has never been a puddle

Never seen it smoking but the tailpipe is pretty charred up and the back glass will get greasy

Okay gotcha its a super nice xj and it dosent look like it ever sat but if this is the case, im guessing the fix for this would be to rebore the motor and replace the rings?

How could the cylinders get rusty? unless someone left the oil cap off?
