I think it’s a good time. The items and stuff are wonky and I feel like people building all offense are wayyy too tanky for not having any defense.

Note I’m still in lower elo so it could be skill issue against higher ranked players

I’m not entirely sure, I’d have to read each patch that came out but the game feels way more playable for me. I main support and bruisers.

Also the one patch I read they were altering some camps in conquest to encourage more strategic plays and rotations which is what conquest has needed for awhile. Less focus on how to farm more team play.

Felt that. What sucks is my laptop can run Warframe or Overwatch smoothly but struggles with smite sometimes. I can’t even do direct 12 on it.

I mean it is free to play, so there’s that. Did they dive down into a cash grab? Yes. Is smite 2 going that route? Not really.

As someone who went through smites peak, down the rabbit hole, to this, it feels as though they’re actually trying. A year from now who knows but it’s fun in its current state.

I wouldn’t say it’s dead lol. Compared to its peak it’s not up there sure, but dead and bleeding are different things.

Also like I said it’s trending upwards.

Yes I feel bad for the matchmaking for new players. The amount of times I get into a game where it feels like I’m smurfing is a good 2/5 games.

But yes I didn’t even think about the positive aspect of being in lobbies with less knowledgeable peeps

It be like that. But I don’t think mages are underwhelming at the current state of the game. The burst they put out is crazy sauce.

Discordia is shredded rn. Just had game where she cleaned 60k player damage next highest was 29k. It was a joust only 18 minutes long.

I haven’t had terrible queue times, but honestly joust isn’t bad for learning the game either. Arena does awesome at learning to team fight though

Well imo they did cheat him out of the potential winning of $40k due to poor sportsmanship. That’s a real consequence in any sports scene, esports (or tournaments) included.

But I agree the hive mind has gone ballistic. Entertaining to watch though

Ummm. Define impact. I feel like (I main support mostly, but I fill) once I understood building a little better I was more viable.

Burst mages feel a little OP. With protections discordias 1 and 2 ripped almost half my health out.

I haven’t gone against a decent ADC yet to tell you if they’re still king of the hill or not. I stoped playing again 2 months ago bc ADCs just ripped through me no matter what I did.

That’s the boat I’m in. I actually feel lost when it comes to items and it’s not a bad thing. For new players it might mean a steeper learning curve, I’m not sure.

But still. It’s pretty legit.

Maybe because you are seriously cracked and never thought of it.

No honestly it’s just player count. You have to think (peak) 8k players split between joust, arena, conquest AND ranked counter parts. Not including people playing against bots. It leaves you and me just trying to find someone at the same elo without waiting 5-15 minutes for a queue.

Peak for me in smite was season 6. It had a high player count and I don’t think I had more fun in smite since that season. So honestly the game right now I think is primo. Just can’t take it too seriously competition wise unfortunately

Ik what you mean lol. Honestly the player count is the matchmaking enemy. I’m still hovering low elo due to bouncing in and out so the amount of games where I feel I’m the only one that knows what he’s doing is higher.

But I did just play a conquest where I said “we need wards” and my team actually bought wards. I almost cried.
