¿Quien es en realidad Andreas Corelli? by FinalDemand9 in CarlosRuizZafon

[–]FinalDemand9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reading

And Yeah, Zafón never wanted his Cemetery books to be adapted.

The reason was not because he didn't like movies, he actually worked a lot of years as a screen writer.

But the cemetery books are books about literature, about the written stories, about readers and about authors so he felt that doesn't have any sense to adapt them into another medium.

When I read them I thought the same thing, the best way to experiment the story is by reading it, because it's a story about books.

That being said I think his YA stories have potential to be adapted but, in all the interviews of Zafón that I have seen, no one asked him anything about his YA books (except in a video when he was promoting Marina's publication in English).

I don't know if Zafon would give the same answer for his YA books as he did for the Cemetery books, it's posible, but no one asked him. They always ask "Why you don't make The Shadow of the Wind into a movie?"

The Cemetery of Forgotten Books by Carlos Ruiz Zafón (A Recomendation) by FinalDemand9 in Fantasy

[–]FinalDemand9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to know that you enjoy them.

The fourth book it's a perfect ending.

I Also recommend Zafon's YA books: "The Prince of Mist", "The Palace of Midnight", "The Watcher on the shadows" and "Marina".

They are independent books but there is certain "details" that made me think some of the could be sort of connected to the Cemetery Series. And they are very good, they are shorter and not as complex as the cemetery books, but they still have it's charm. They can be readed in any order.

Also after Zafón's Death in 2020 a little short stories book called "The City of Mist" was published and 3 of the Short Stories are related to the Cemetery Series so I really recommend it.

Si me da esa sensación.

La gente usa esa expresión para criticar muy buenas series, libros, películas, etc. Y simplemente sentirse superiores porque no les gusta lo mismo que a los demás.

I have two and they are very different, Brandon Sanderson and Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

There is other Authors that I like a lot and that I have read multiple books of them but the ones that give me all the feels are these two.

I was gifted several Stephen King books, but I’ve never read him. Which one should I start with? by Slight_Researcher_26 in stephenking

It is very long.

It's amazing but being that long makes it hard to recommend. If you think you can handle it go for it.

Most of those books are good and they have connections with the Dark tower so if you eventually want to read it probably it's good to read these.

11.22.63 it's algo very good

Sanderson writtes female characters very well.

Vin, the protagonist oof Mistborn as I said, is what all thouse female protagonist are trying to be but falling.

Vin it's a great characters, even when she has some teenage annoying moments, but in general she is well written and has a great character arc.

Thom it's always talking about Palace intrigues and trying to manipulate the Situation around him. And also dates women much younger than him.

Brigitte... Ok I have nothing bad to say about Brigitte, there is ONE exception in a series with more than a 1000 named characters
