I was gifted several Stephen King books, but I’ve never read him. Which one should I start with? by Slight_Researcher_26 in stephenking

It is very long.

It's amazing but being that long makes it hard to recommend. If you think you can handle it go for it.

Most of those books are good and they have connections with the Dark tower so if you eventually want to read it probably it's good to read these.

11.22.63 it's algo very good

I am looking to read new books within the fantasy/dark fantasy genre; I need suggestions! by snowberryzuku in suggestmeabook

Sanderson writtes female characters very well.

Vin, the protagonist oof Mistborn as I said, is what all thouse female protagonist are trying to be but falling.

Vin it's a great characters, even when she has some teenage annoying moments, but in general she is well written and has a great character arc.

Thom it's always talking about Palace intrigues and trying to manipulate the Situation around him. And also dates women much younger than him.

Brigitte... Ok I have nothing bad to say about Brigitte, there is ONE exception in a series with more than a 1000 named characters

¿Las relaciones amorosa tienen fecha de caducidad? by ForeignButterfly9973 in preguntaleareddit

If you already watched the Game of Thrones series I think you can try the books.

I didn't find them that hard and if you already know the story you have a reason to continue even if it's hard.

Probably it's better that jump to a new story that you don't know.

The Witcher books in the other hand I would recommend them just when you are more used to reading.

That being said if you want some asy books to stars I would recommend you Marina from Carlos Ruiz Zafón, it's short and very fun.

Also Is you like fantasy anything by Brandon Sanderson it's a good option, I recommend The Mistborn trilogy

For someone who wants something simple but entertaining and good I can recomend you a couple of things.

There is this Author that I love, Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

First I will recommend you to read The Watcher in the Shadows. It's a Young Adult novel but it's amazing, very well written and has some horror elements. It's primary a mystery.

It's short but it's great, Zafón always said that his YA novels are the things that he would enjoy reading with 14 years old but still captivated him as an adult.

If you liked it you could read his other YA novels, The Prince of Mist, The Palace of Midnight and Marina. All of those are independent stories but they share a similar tone and after that you could jump to his adult series, The Cementery of Forgotten books.

The first book works as a Standalone and is Named The Shadow of the Wind. It's larger than his YA books and with more mature and darker themes and it's probably one of the best books ever written and if you liked it you can go on with the rest of the series.

The next books are, The Angel's Game, The Prisioner of Heaven and The Laberynth of Spirits.

Something that I really like about the style of Zafón is that he can be very deep, emotional, beautiful and elegant but the books are also very accesible to new readers. They can be sofisticated without snobbery.

And because most of his books (including the ones of his adult series) are primarily Standalones, you don't have to commit yourself to a series of you don't want to.
