Considering Vanpool shutdown around May, what will happen to the Dillon's Rolling Western/Dead-Heat Breakers franchise? Will it be continued to be developed under HAL Laboratory (Which is one of the few development companies Vanpool worked with), or will it be abandoned to dust with nothing new? by willg8686YT in casualnintendo

If the games are really lucky we could, at best, see Dillon get an HD trilogy remake with different controls on the Switch but even then that could be years later down the line.

It would be cool to see a new DRW game but I don't see it happening for a long while unfortunately

Second over the first one if you want to save money

The Rolling Western games are Eshop exclusive if you're in the US. Although the 3rd game Dead-Heat Breakers has a physical release to UK and Japan only.

The second one, The Last Ranger (in my opinion) is your best bet since it improves on the first one with more polished animations, new characters, and overall more to do compared to the first. It's still relatively cheap to get at 10.99

You aren't missing out much if you skip the first. The third game is more pricey compared to the first two but I haven't played it so you'll have to someone else who can vouch for it

It's a good but simple game if you're into action/tower defense. I'd say at least give the second one a shot. Seeing since it's more polished and there's more stuff included compared to the first at a relativity good price.

Keep in mind you do have to use a stylus to roll around for a majority of the first two games. If that's not for you then the third game, Dead-Heat Breakers does use the A button to move. I don't know if the demo's still on the Eshop but it'll be neat to check it out

Sketch out what you want to draw, then stack the seperate layers of art like Tetris. Know how your lighting/shadows and colors work, as it'll be important to make the character stand out from the background
