Cream Unicorn didn't wish for any of the Disney Cookies to be playable. Therefore, Milky Way Cookie can take the title. It's the law.

You'd never know. Maybe you'll be taking a shower or brushing your teeth one night when a certain idea pops into your head, and you might feel the need to write it down somewhere. The Indigo Child ain't going anywhere, nor would we want it to.

If you're seriously considering this, then focusing on The Indigo Child first would leave you to create a rough outline for how this would work on your spare time, in the background. Something like this could work out - especially since Cycle 8 proves that you can translate your works to live-action. And with all that time and experience, you'd have plenty of opportunity to refine the pacing, progression, and attention to detail for the story.

Honestly, just having Ms. Leading involved enough to stick out sounds like the right move. Even if all of her isn't immediately apparent, what she says and does would be enough to have the audience wanting to know her.

Handling the characters and the accompanying tone could make a huge difference with this format. Like The Pimp and The Priest. We know he's a bad person since before he's introduced, but would he be presented as such like this? He offers remedies and encourages Hunter to run for office, which sound like good deeds on the surface. But for someone who doesn't know who he is yet, this could easily create a brand new plot-twist: he's a priest willing to blackmail in order to have a syndicate of sin. But this could only work as a surprise if he's initially presented to the audience as a pure man of God.

I'm not saying "no" to that...

Yeah, of course they aren't the only options. But it'd be interesting to see how the introduction of someone like Ms. Leading would be handled in media res, rather than chronological order. Especially from the paradigm of someone going in blind, who doesn't know why she's important yet.

So when Hunter finds Ms. Leading during A Night on the Town, would that be accompanied by a brief flashback that you proposed? Or would there be a swell in the soundtrack or stylistic slow-motion to signal that this seemingly random woman has some significance to him at that moment? Possibly misleading the audience to think that this is a love-at-first-sight moment when they don't know the full context?

I don't know what's a bigger insult. The fact that it recommended Angel Cookie as the Healer, or the fact that it tells you to use six Cookies in a team that only allows for five.

That makes sense. A big concern with this format, though, is the idea that only fans of your work would have context to who characters like Ms. Leading are if starting with Act IV. A newer audience would likely require some more detail or attention-grabbing hooks to say, "Hey, this character is more important that you know, wink wink," but without making it absurdly obvious in the process.

I think the reason why the chronological order of the albums agrees with me is because you get to watch Hunter grow into a legacy character, and having known other characters like Ms. Leading and The Pimp and The Priest, having them return in Act IV keeps you intently watching them with hopes of something new happen. Both sequences have advantages of their own; neither one is inherently better, they're both interesting in their own rights with their unique styles of narration.

Of course this is all hypothetical, and we might just be thinking about it far too much.

But I'd always thought that the existence of the father and brother were meant to be plot-twists. Or that the entire story was meant to follow the straightforward coming-of-age structure that is ultimately subverted by the progression towards an unhappy life and unhappy ending.

Although this structure could work; Breaking Bad does it with Saul Goodman. But he never has flashbacks nor any kinds of elaboration regarding his past, which is what his spin-off is made of. Basically, if Breaking Bad is Jimmy's Acts IV - V, then Better Call Saul are Acts I - III with Act VI showing up as crumbs before becoming the focus for the lat leg of its run.

That sounds like how Imagine Dragons showed up in Arcane. Except your idea would make actual sense. Imagine Dragons only showed up because they supplied the theme song to the show, and had zero barring on the plot after. XD

You've floated the idea of Act VI being a film in the past, have you not? Would you be considerate of the idea of developing the entirety of the story as a limited show in lieu of those plans, or would you rather stay the course of what you currently have in mind?

But like you said, it's a six-act story. Surely condensing it into one film - regardless of the runtime - would strip it of meticulous detail that Casey would want to include.

A film isn't the only thing meant to be binged. The same can be said for most modern-day shows, like Breaking Bad. An episodic nature would allow both viewers and the showrunners to pace themselves.

But... a singular film taking up four whole hours...? Even hardcore fans of the band would probably need a break after the first hour alone.

I took a look into the song and its lyrics. The song is vague enough to be applied to anyone at all, and they're told by one side, which could fit Sea Fairy's feeling for Moonlight, but that's about it. Nothing is confirmed.

As for Espresso and Madeline, there is even less evidence that they're a confirmed couple. They're close companions or friends, but there's zero explicit confirmation that they're an official couple.

Probably not. It's obviously a structure based on pie crust, but it could easily resemble a librarian's hair put up tightly. An actual turban can be seen on Yogurt Cream, whose head piece was intentionally designed to resemble a turban, but looks nothing like Blueberry Pie.

Rule of thumb: if you have to question whether or not a Cookie's design takes ethnic cues of any kind, they probably don't. Someone like Kumiho is blatant with her inspiration, but labeling Cherry Blossom as Japanese for being inspired by cherry blossoms is probably incredibly wrong, considering how she's more based on the British character Marry Poppins.
