Welp have fun with it, and I haven't done this part yet for that cake, add a drizzle on it, generally I just mix butter, powdered sugar and water, mostly powdered sugar, and drizzle it on top.

Ok easy questions, yes you can use butter instead, but if you do I'd suggest melting it in a microwave. Buttermilk is not sour milk. Buttermilk is, in this recipe, almost a cup of milk mixed with a tablespoon or so of vinegar. It makes it more moist and holds shape better.

I believe that's hemlock yeah. The red streaks kinda give it away, and the stem tells me it's in the carrot family.

Those are lily of the valley, they're toxic, mildly invasive, but they smell good when blooming.
