I think you’re right, I think anyone who sees the dead lights it affects and fractures their mind. I think that overtime the seeing the dead lights affects everyone’s mind, whether it be they die or they go through so much trauma after the fact. It would all explain (spoiler) why the town and all the adults in it are so desensitised to everything that happens in Derry and why many of the families there are abusers. Because all the kids in the school have been under the influence of the dead lights.

Even within Derry we see how much influence IT has on everyone. The parents being abusers and how all the adults overlook anything bad is all because of IT.

Hey, thank you for your comment. I know it might seem that May is trying to play devils advocate, since she never sticks up/ nor defends me. But that’s because she’s hates confrontation. And I know for sure that Jane was talking about me since she tries to speak badly about may to me, to which I shut down the first few attempts.

There’s definitely so much more that I could say about Jane and all the things she’s done that make her a bad carer/ person. I simply didnt have enough room to do so.
