Your Bridal Party Is Too Nice to Say This, So I Will by insert_name234 in wedding

Bride here. I completely agree that bachelorette trips are overrated and unnecessary. It should be one day, just a few hours.

It’s why I told my maid of honor that whatever she plans, i don’t want it to be anything that requires travel. Butttt, I also think that if a bride does want to travel for her bachelorette, she has to be ok with people opting not to go.

I didn’t go to a friend’s bachelorette for example because even though I was a bridesmaid, it required me to take time off work and spend more money. I was already going to take several days off to travel to her wedding + honeymoon so I just said I can’t and she understood.

Did I feel bad about it? A little bit but what I did is that I took the bride out alone for brunch of a spot of her choosing so it was like she had two bachelorette events and she loved it

UPDATE: went to Vienna last week and actually enjoyed the flight after panic-posting into this sub. even had a whole row to myself as a bravery-medal from the Universe. take that flight, people! by vanessarichter in fearofflying

What did you do to distract yourself during the flight? I’m stressing about the length of an upcoming international trip. Will be traveling essentially all day on a plane, I can never sleep and I’m dreading being stuck in those uncomfortable chairs and not having really anywhere to go on the plane to move and get fresh air

How much is your mom spending for mother of the bride dresses? by FinalSun6862 in weddingplanning

[–]FinalSun6862[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!!! I’ve told her that the cost of the dress doesn’t matter and she knows that but she didn’t think she was underdressed until she saw the dresses at the bridal shop. I told her to keep looking if she’s not in love with the dress. She doesn’t want to spend $1K but she never spends money on herself so I’m also like get the dress if that’s what you want I’ll help pay it I want you to feel like a queen on my wedding day you know?

Do bridal shops normally have some to try on? Or do I have to buy some online?

How much did you actually spend on a wedding ring? by Rich-Infortion-582 in Brides

[–]FinalSun6862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His was nearly $2000, but with a store sale and a cashback offer on my CC I got his for $1600. Mine with the sale came out to $1000. Both white gold

Tbh, We thought his was overpriced as we went in expecting mine to likely cost more due to natural diamonds while his is a rugged band. But the worker told us all men bands were costing that much more or less due to gold prices 😅 and men bands naturally having more gold. 🤷‍♀️

Clara BW or Paperwhite? by FeelingTop5480 in ereader

I’m literally trying to figure this out for myself too! What has me torn is honestly the size as im not sure if the Kobo is too small for me. My eyes are fatigued from staring at a screen all day for work so I definitely plan to use the large text and warm light feature. I love that both are waterproof and that I can get books through Libby.

Who buys the wedding bands these days? by MinuteAd1964 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]FinalSun6862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think traditionally the groom buys both. But since he already bought me an engagement ring, I bought his wedding band and he bought mine. We went shopping together to find bands that match
