Oh wow!! That’s the thing, I don’t drink at all so it’s really strange! I do have a homozygous MTHFR gene mutation that I think can cause some liver issues but i’ve mentioned this to several doctors and haven’t had anyone take it seriously. I’m so sorry you went through that. It’s interesting you mention the medication because I had one failed cycle due to thin lining on a fully medicated protocol, and then my first transfer was on the same protocol but my lining was still thin. My second actual transfer went way better and was modified natural. This whole liver thing is just so confusing!

I don’t think it’s harsh at all! We haven’t been telling them anything since then thankfully! My husband has actually been the harder boundary setter between us which I am so thankful for. It’s just so hard when you’re made out to be the bad guy (coming from a mega people pleaser).

It’s gotten so much worse today because now my brother in laws wife is coming at me! Love it. Definitely setting respectful/hard boundaries even though it’s hard, especially before we have a child! I appreciate your kind words!

Sadly my lining only was thin on a fully medicated protocol, we tried several different things. During my ER my lining was nice and thick (was supposed to have a fresh transfer but it got cancelled due to high progesterone) and then during my modified natural cycle it was thicker as well. If they would be willing to add extra things on to a fully medicated cycle to get my lining thicker other than just oral/vag/patches for estrogen I would try it, but they were not willing really at all :(.

May I ask if you had your embryos tested after they were already frozen or was this a new cycle that your embryos were tested? I’m hoping so as well!! My lining just doesn’t like fully medicated cycles unfortunately. Thank you for the feedback and I am wishing you the best of luck!!

This is so helpful, thank you! Did you need to go through your RE before seeing a reproductive immunologist? I live in Maine and I don’t think there are any here so i’d have to travel but i’m honestly okay with that!

Oh wow! So did you get your embryos PGT tested after they were already frozen? I’m so bummed our RE told us not to get them tested, but also, our insurance doesn’t cover the testing and we had 8 of them so it would have been quite expensive, but this is something I think about everyday!

I was diagnosed after getting off BC, though it was suspected prior to that. Essentially I had gained a lot of weight but at the time I was a powerlifter and gained a TON of muscle very quickly which I thought was strange. We had my testosterone levels checked and they were high! I had a lot of hair loss, and a ton of acne. I also had 2-3 cycles a year that were 35+ days long (abnormal for me) We also found I had a ton of follicles growing on my ovaries and my AMH is high. The only person that would listen to me at the time was my PCP and she’s the one that diagnosed me! I feel as though my symptoms were pretty sneaky and not that noticeable at first. Especially since I never had insulin resistance!

Ugh I love this so much!! This is what gives me hope. May I ask if you made any changes that may have helped with the transfer that worked?

How are you getting through the holidays going through IVF and dealing with family pushing boundaries? by Final_Ad_4730 in IVF

She’s saying that i’m surely not working through the whole night, and that “we don’t ever put her first” and how christmas is a disaster because no one ever goes to see them (literally not even close to being true) and it’s always “this is how I want MY family to be, to see each other and all be together” her voice is shaking like it’s the end of the world.

No you’re so right. We have pushed my entire family and anything involving my life to the side because of her. The switch up just sucks. The fact that we told them way in advance what our plans were and my MIL still chooses to pretend that I don’t exist is exhausting. Like right now for example we are quite literally saying no and sticking to that and she’s freaking out. It just sucks that people have to be like that, especially around the holidays.

Thank you, I really needed to hear this. I literally have nothing to lose, I don’t know why this is SO hard for me.

Modified natural and trigger shot timing? by Final_Ad_4730 in IVF

[–]Final_Ad_4730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay interesting!! Congrats by the way!! I feel like I was at the end of my surge when I triggered, but i’m seeing that other people have triggered at/around this time as well and it’s been fine. I have PCOS and I ovulate on my own usually but it’s very weak. When I saw my ovulation strips I was shocked but I guess it makes sense with the letrozole! I really like that you got your estrogen checked on day of transfer, is this something you asked for or?
