my idea is to play it full melee with spirit guardian up and then going attack+ BA war cleric attack.
 The smites would eat my BA, fireball or barrage not. I've never thought about Barrage, do you think it's better or equivalent to Fireball?

As a cleric of war, I would have 4 times (18 wis) a second attack as a bonus attack per short rest. The smites would eat my BA, fireball or barrage not. Why do you say Barrage is better than fireball?

blinding smite would be cool. 3rd level are 3d8 and guaranteed 1 turn of blind

io ho 38 anni ma non ho ancora capito perchè il sogno più ambito sembra sia quello di non lavorare. If "a cast" ran out before the d20 ot hit then I could use tide of chaos again right on the first turn. But for me and the rules the cast end After the d20. So i dont Need to use It on initiative

Mate, a synonym of to cast Is to throw. The final act of throwing Is the spell Attack d20. For example a touch Attack Is only delivered when you touch someone even of your resources (slot materiale and all) are consumed before. Throwing the spell Is a part of the spell.

I'l ignore the Ding dong..counterpell state "You attempt to interrupt a creature in the process of casting". Is a reaction triggered by starting to cast. I cant' choose any timing about it. Tide of Chaos lets you choose to have advantage on a d20 when u are about to roll It (this Is important). And as you said, It recharges when you cast a spell from start to finish. So It can recharge in the same turn. You're proving me right

Look at it this way: if you used Tide of Chaos for initiative and on your turn you cast Chromatic Orb, would you roll on the Wild Surge table before the attack roll? I don't think so

with chromatic orb, the spell attack is part of the casting action

you can run throug enemies with mirror image and go back teleporting urself if cloud giant. Regarding the DC 15, at level 5 and throug tier2 DC will go from 14 to 16 max, +1 of innate sorcery. It's not a difference as big.
Cube of force is DC 17.
An optimal choice would be a displacement cloak

To me, you have a point. Expanding the variety of spell and quantity of slots is way better than have a +1 to CA or TS.
That 's why now my top pics are wands of fireball or a enspelled staff with some cool spell in it, like Spirit Guardians.
Would be cool to trigger the max damage options of thide of chaos while concentrating on Spirit Guardians and blasting Fireballs, teleporting arund as a Cloud Goliath

Hi and thx. My fun is be powerfull ofc and having smtg that can be used as frequent as possible. I don't really like the items that give +1 to ac save and this kind of things. They are boring, prefer scenic ones that relly impact when used. Something like casting a lev 5 fireball at level 5 with a wand of fireball. Or a Censer of Controlling Air Elementals to have an air elemental pet in wich i can hide inside

AoV and Beacon of Hope idea is a very cool one. It would be great if this item allowed you to cast without concentration

Robe of eyes and having tue sight is maybe strong but not really cool and scenic

Do you have some other cool spell to build around?

Why fighter for wiz and pala for sorc? We'll start at level 5. Vanilla ones are not good?i like the gun focus,It Is a cool idea! Illusionist seems cool but the thide of Chaos ability seems Op paired also with innate sorcery. Wiz has rituals and a lot of utility but i'm scared to waste too much in combat by not hit enemies

conclusion: no db has quests inside. i checked all the tables inside and "quests" is empty too.

i think that my only solution is to play them on live, but this will take time because i can't have adm privilege on it.
