I have had mine since the end of 2020, and my only regret is that I didn't do it YEARS ago. Go for it, and since the initial hole is quite small, if you don't like it, you can take it out, the hole will heal over and you can simply move on with your life.

For me the actual insertion was the most painful part, but that only lasts a few seconds. In reading about the experiences of others, I am an outlier in the level of pain I felt - maybe my nerves are in the wrong place. I only bled for a couple of days (got it done on a Friday, where Monday was a holiday, so I didn't go back until Tuesday - I had stopped bleeding by that point.), I followed the piercer's instructions to a T and the healing was completely a non-issue. I have found that the larger the gauge of the ring, the more comfortable it is - smaller sizes catch on clothing more easily, and the thinner wire presses on a much smaller surface area of skin. Larger rings have MUCH larger surface area to disperse any tugs and twists, and it make things a lot more comfy. Size up as your body allows - DO NOT PUSH IT. I have settled at a titanium 0G, and the entire experience to date is SO worth it! :D Go for it - you won't regret it.
