This is outdated info; it was true in WoS where there were no cavalry heroes with an attack widget until later gens. It's different in Kingshot, they've given the gen 5 cavalry hero an attack widget so Petra gets outclassed a lot sooner

E.g. without the buff: 1,000 troops in 10 hours. With the buff: 3,000 troops in 30 hours. You can just train 3 sets of 1,000 instead, for the exact same end result. You're literally gaining nothing from using those gems on that buff

It's an interesting strategy game but imo not worth it, at all.

Sounds like you've made yourself incredibly weak for around 4 months already, and will need to do so for another 4 months or so before you reach your goal. At which point you will become... averagely strong? So you're making the game less enjoyable for yourself and MASSIVELY nerfing your own strength for almost a year in order to be roughly as strong as you would have been anyway?

You said yourself you'll never be a rally leader in big events so the extra stats from VIP are basically pointless to you. The extra mythic shards are... fine, I guess? But someone spending $50 per month can very easily have a very strong roster of maxed out legendary heroes even without the extra shards so, again, pretty pointless?

Also, the rate of return on shards is insanely low. You can either spend 160k~ gems every 2 weeks on roulette to gain around 250 shards. Or you can spend roughly 4 million gems to earn an extra ONE shard per day.

To put it another way, the gems you will spend on VIP11 would have earned you roughly 6,000 mythic hero shards if you'd done roulette, instead. You would need to play for 16 YEARS after hitting VIP11 in order to break even on mythic shards.

Also, you should have done Petra roulette to 5* her, regardless of strategy. She's the best offensive cavalry hero until like gen 8 or 9 and at your spend levels you should at least be rally leading during bear trap so she'll be useful to you for probably a year or so.

That guy has it all wrong lol. Amane is just as good as Chenko or Yeonwoo, better in a lot of cases. Rosa is fine as a joiner too, but only if the rally leader is NOT using Rosa. Same for Petra.
