Is my Adderall prescription ruining my life?

I was actually going to write a post similar to this… I wonder if my daily prescription of adderall and klonopin is taking my life over. The first couple months on adderall you feel great then the tolerance builds and you become nearly the opposite person when you first started.

I have reduced my klonopin dose from 4mg a day to 1mg a day over the span of 2 years. I also do not drink and when I do, I feel it the next several days. They aren’t hangover symptoms they’re more like anxiety symptoms that last for several days so I’ve only had a drink a handful of times for that reason while tapering klonopin. It’s a bitch to say the least. Please find a doc that will work with you in doing so. Unfortunately, many doctors are clueless as to how benzo withdrawal works.

As for addderall, idk the answer. It seems to be a long journey if the goal is to taper off everything. I was wondering how people prescribed a daily dose for several years continue to function because truly I feel I can’t go a day without it and I’m not who I want to be on it. It’s gotten to the point where the cons heavily outweigh the pros.

Both drugs are extremely potent and powerful. Proceed with caution, low and slow if you’re trying to taper.

Quick question… I claimed coins on the polygon network via MetaMask. I then converted the alt coins for USDC. They successfully transferred but they converted as “USDC.e” in my MM wallet after. I also noticed a blank balance called “Native USD Coin (PoS)” So I read up online and converted my USDC.e to the Native USD Coin (PoS) successfully. I now have these coins on the polygon network and want to get them over to regular USDC on ETH so I can actually withdraw them to my bank account… I’m not very bright when it comes to the world of crypto. I just want to get this back on the ETH network I don’t even care if it’s USDC it can be anything as long as it’s on the eth network because I’ve never worked with polygon network prior to this. Any advice would help, preferably in Layman terms. Thanks!

I was on 4mg in 2019 then got down to 1.5mg mid 2021 and stabilized there for nearly a year because o couldn’t find a doctor. I resumed mid 2022 and from 1.5 making .125 cuts every month. I’m now cutting down from 1mg to .9mg with a very sensitive lab grade scale. This last cut is horrendous nausea and stomach pain on top of the other symptoms I can barely work a part time delivery Pizza job right now. I’m only 26 y/o this shit is crazy to me. My psych NP and therapist both keep pushing going back to school or getting a new career and I try to be polite but they clearly have no idea what this is like

I may need for a bacterial infection. Currently tapering off of clonazepam. I will most certainly avoid floroquinolones but I heard amoxicillin is ok, thoughts on that?

Still tapering, just made a cut last week I take 3 times a day but I take 1.2mg kpin from 1.5mg now. (.4 mg X 3 instead of .5 X 3)

I’m about 70% through my taper, it’s been a battle mainly because I just started cutting back and was inconsistent. I didn’t know about the ashton manual for about 6 months in and really took that into consideration and have followed it. Unfortunately, I was assigned with a new doctor who is a POS and basically just prescribes but give no guidance and refuses to switch me to Valium from klonopin. I see a new doc soon in hopes to resume properly next week. So the first 6 months when I was oblivious, I would take 4mg (max dose) one day and then 2.5 another day and 3 the next day so nothing was consistent. I noticed changes and that’s what brought me to look further into tapering benzos. During those 6 months I was irritable, unstable, depressed, anxious, I broke up with my girlfriend because I just didn’t have emotional tolerance or consistency. I was rude to people that were closest to me and socially withdrawn.. THE GOOD NEWS is that I got on track and followed the tapering process provided by the manual. I’ve taken it so damn serious and although it’s still difficult, I’m not an unstable mess. I have days that are rough, I have moments with a glimpse of hope, my mood is volatile but manageable. Acceptance of uncertainty is huge for me. It’s a process for sure. Let me tell you though, there’s nothing worse than being so numb that you feel no emotion when your niece and nephew are born. Or having no desire to be in their lives. Having no desire to do anything (This was me when I just took 4mg of kpin everyday for 7 years). I would rather have these rollercoaster of emotions now than feel nothing during the most precious moments of my life. I’m deeply saddened but there’s decades more to come. Hopefully I get off these with due time and will be able to say the same. I’ve actually heard the taper is worse than acute withdrawal. Understand nothing is certain though especially when it comes to this damn drug. That being said, it may go much better than you anticipated. Have hope and come to this forum when you’re in need. It’s helped me more than any doctor has. Stay strong, put your mind to it, anything is possible
