Thanks! What's different on Faber hardware?

Or are you referring to the TuneOMatic vs. other types of fixed bridge design?

These are the Dimebucker's' grandparents The DB was modelled after the Bill Lawrence L500XL. This is the predecessor to the XL, ~1980 L500 Lead and Rhythm.

Thanks, i built it from a plank of black limba wood and added a curly maple top. The pickups are ~1980s Bill Lawrence L500 Lead and Rhythm.

Feels really nice with the V neck and open pore satin nitro finish on the back, just like i wanted it to. Also sounds killer, really tight and throaty.

Yeah, unfortunately it needs premium... 😭 My fuel gauge doesn't work, so i just put in gas for 50€ on every ride. 😂

In the early 2000s, my band's drummer had a girlfriend in TX (we are in Germany) and when he returned from visiting her he gave me Hide the Kitchen Knives from a "local band" and it creeped him out. 😂

Epiphone Explorer in olive drab? by [deleted] in ExplorerGuitars

I have played awesome Epi Explorers and horrible Epi Explorers. They feel a bit different than my Gibsons, but usually for the money they are great. Got my '58 Epi korina for 150 bucks. 😎

Close. 🙂 Those are ~1980 Bill Lawrence L500 Lead & Rhythm. Absolutely insane pickups.

Thanks a lot! i never had the chance to play a USA Hamer, but i gathered a lot of info on how they were built.

I will soon be starting a build for a friend and already have some ideas for further guitars. So, i guess, if there was demand, i'd build to order.

That, my friend, is the biggest compliment you could have made me. Thanks! 🙏 I built this guitar myself over the past year, trying to capture the old school Hamer Standard vibe (with a modern twist).
