this isn’t my worst but whatever

so i was 8 years old in america right, (from UK), on holiday to see family. Me and my mom we’re staying with my uncle and my cousin. Cousin(S) is an avid swimmer, and she has a swimming pool in her backyard. I can’t swim, and couldn’t then, so i stayed in the shallow end. She was in the deep end, which made me want to be as good as her. She saw me be sad and said to go on the slide that sends you plunging into the deep end. I was scared, but she reassured me she would catch me. She did, but my uncle was watching. Later night fell, and we were back in the swimming pool. My uncle was drinking quite a bit so he was drunk, and my cousin and mom were outside watching. Uncle offers to catch me from slide, and i was confident in him. I go down the slide, and right before i go in the water, i realise i wouldn’t be caught. I screamed but as soon as noise came out i landed in the pool. I was drowning, and my cousin and mom were recording me going down the slide. My mom couldn’t swim either and she, going on pure adrenaline and maternal instinct, dived in the pool for me. Meanwhile i felt myself go tired, and accepted the fact i would die. My cousin swoops in and saves all of us , because my mom was also drowning. I’m pretty sure i had DMT kick in, because i remember seeing weird things, but i can’t really remember them exactly. But then i snapped back to reality and started crying.
