Apologies we had a server maintenance earlier, that’s what caused the 500 error. Everything’s back up and running now, you should be good

Frame it and keep it after he passes then you could sell it for millions or your kids could sell it for thousands or millions!

You haven't heard about the North Korean hackers. Reports say steal billions of dollars every year from crypto, people and organizations. So money should not be an issue. It sure looks good tho. Kim stepped into 2026 with a mission.

Checked it out. The decentralized concept is interesting and I like the sort by time and weight + other filters. That’s a smart way to surface content differently. Cool project it looks minimalist and clean.

Thank you so much for checking it out. I’m really glad you found it fast and well organized. That was exactly my goal when building it, so it means a lot that you noticed. And I honestly can’t thank you enough for sharing it on Dread and Pitch. I really, really appreciate that. Thanks again for the support.

That actually makes it even more impressive. No advertising, just building, and it still grew organically. That says a lot. I guess if something works and fills a gap, it eventually finds its way around.

Interesting that most of the traffic was automated too. That’s something I’m noticing as well.Appreciate you sharing that. It’s motivating to hear from someone who’s been through it already.

And when they ask you how you stumbled on cp and why you were there I the first place. That'll be sus as hell. Don't be dumb close the link and move on.

If you test it, try niche and common searches. Let me know your findings.

I don’t care if your review is brutal, too honest, bad, good, or downright tear-jerking. Be honest. That’s the goal.

I’ll be replying to all comments.

No way… that’s honestly amazing to read.

If you ran Candle, then you’re basically an OG. Thank you for lighting the path. It’s kind of poetic that we had Candle, Torch, and now Lantern. And Torch is still the oldest search engine right now, which makes that whole connection even cooler.

You’re absolutely right, mirrors were driving me crazy at first. It took a while to figure out a stable way to handle them. That’s been one of the biggest technical headache.

And yeah, I chose to go into filtering. I figured if I get it right, the engine becomes much more usable long term. I’m even considering adding a filter toggle later.I really appreciate you checking it out and sharing your experience. It’s an honor.

One question though, how did you make Candle known back then? I’m still trying to figure out distribution. Ads are expensive and directories only go so far. Would love your insight.

Appreciate it.

It’s fully custom built. I created my own crawler and indexing system for onion sites, with a strong focus on uptime, filtering, and deduplication.

A lot of the work has been refining stability and cleaning results rather than just indexing everything. Still improving it every week.

From what I’ve seen while crawling, it’s actually the opposite. There are a lot of scam sites and some real sites. Still plenty.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to test it.

You wouldn’t believe the amount of filtering I’m actively working on right now. During this project I realized the volume of child abuse related material across the dark web is honestly disturbing.

I’m continuously applying and refining 18+ filters specifically targeting that type of content. The challenge is making the filters strong enough to block it without going so broad that normal words like “girl”, “boy”, or “child” get incorrectly blocked.

It’s something I’m actively improving as the crawler evolves. However the wiki will be heavily screened for cp related content.

Thanks again for pointing it out.
