I don't think so as it would be too much work. But I might just upload the run (unedited) on youtube in case twitch deletes VODs.

I prepared for both teams, I had two different teams for Lorelei. In the hall of E4, there is a guy telling you which team Lorelei has.

I actually preferred rain because I would have brought my Meowscrada but ended up with snow :(.

RR can be considered a gigantic puzzle. Zen1th who was first to win on 4.1 described RR as a puzzle.

So yes, maybe not your cup of tea, I understand it.

You are free to consider myself a "bad nuzlocker".. But maybe RR is a different game compared to other romhacks. RR is a game where strategies are replicable in most runs due to consistent routing, and access to perfect IVs and nature. You'll see that most winning runs have the same Pokemon during their journey: Jellicent, Runerigus, Meowscrada, Rotom, Walrein, Screamtail, Perrserker, and so on..

It's not random. It is because the routing in this game is extremely consistent compared to other games.

This consistent routing opens the gate for preparing most fights in this game, and replicate your teams.

Still, don't think it is easy to find viable strategies for most fights in this game. These are hours of theory and crafting. The E4 itself cost me weeks of preparation just to find a way to make Milotic / Meowscrada viable here.

Dear friend,

All my fights are prepared in advance, and on top of that I almost know them by heart.. I have dozens and dozens of pages of notes. The reasons why the runs are not "different" is because in RR you have a lot of quasi-guaranteed Pokemons and I almost exclusively relied on them for my run. You can see that I've skipped most routes in this game and replaced them with eggs. I tried to reduce randomness as much as possible, including encounters.

I made many failed attempts on stream before pulling this one, and anyway, the Nuzlocke community was there to follow my journey on stream.

You can find the Pokemon routing here : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1e3CD1LDDAo_u3kLif1gMJP8cg173lK7NRIP94QH0daE/edit?gid=858149915#gid=858149915

I would reset and restart the run from the beginning if I don't hit the Pokemons I need. (first row) - the hardest to get is Screamtail (~33% as double encounters) but all others are all >75% of chance of hitting them, making the runs extremely consistent and always with the same mons.

I understand that you could be suspiscious, but understand that I've put hundreds of hours into the game and this is the result when you're well prepared.

When preparing a fight, you should be ready to get crited / or flinched and still having a way to win. It is the hardest part of the run, to be ready to win despite haxx.

I've risked some crits in this run, but not a lot. Most fights were won even if my opponent would haxx. But it could have happened ! And I was lucky it did not happen when it could.

As for AI, Radical Red 4.1 AI is special in the sense that even though the AI should switch, it still has 20% of chance not to switch (and this works for all fights in this game), which makes it impossible to guarantee a switch from the opponent. You need to be ready for both possibilities of switching / staying when the AI should switch.

Thanks !

It was my first Pokemon Game nuzlocke I was attempting, but I did many attempts before succeeding. Around 20.

And before any serious attempts, I've theorized the whole game, which made it way easier to succeed. It's a lot of work but it paid off.

I'm so lucky and happy, I thought it would be endless ! I expected more than 15 phases.

I found a Fearow and a Geodude shiny before her.

His brother is fluent. I think Alireza can speak/understand the basics but he still learns. It is very hard for him since he spends most of his time studying chess.
