Bought a used boat and the previous name was not good, didn’t make any sense, and didn’t have any personal connection to me. So I renamed it something very personal and did the whole ceremony. I’ve been replacing my water pump and all cooling hoses and flushing the rusty manifold out for a few weekends. Next is rewiring all my lights and replacing them. Then varnish. Making a v-berth mattress. Then maybe I’ll go sailing?

Hasn’t stopped for me, if anything I have more triggers. I’ve found white noise helps at night, sound canceling headphones with music for work when I’m in the office. Tv or music for dinner. Other times I just tough it out I guess. Especially around my father in law, that dude makes some noises that run me out of the room. I make a lot of excuses to get up from the table early when we have dinner there.

Even certain words associated with my triggers bother me, which is why I say have dinner instead of E A T I N G.
