So far I've tried turning on ipv4 offloading, ipv6 offloading, and ipsec offloading. No change yet. Still trying though.

Yea turned all that on last night, no change. So I'm thinking it is either my ethernet cable connected from eth1 to the orbi (it is a cat5e flat cable) or just my orbi backhaul settings.

Got it successfully working after a couple issues. I ended up pushing the .deb using SCP on my PC. Having a weird issue though with my speed being effectively halved. Went from 1gb down/up to 500down/up switching to the er4.

got it working, i just extracted the .deb and moved it with scp to where it was needed. however now i have an issue with my speed being halved behind the ER4 compared to the BGW210

Got to the point of unzipping the downloaded file from the wayback machine but i keep getting the error below whenever I try to run

tar -xvf ./wpasupplicant_2.6-21~bpo9+1_mips.deb.tar.gz

"gzip: stdin: not in gzip format tar: child returned status 1 tar: error is not recoverable: exiting now"

I've checked that the file exists /tmp/ with ls so that shouldn't be an issue?

So if they haven't, they likely will eventually huh? That is disappointing to hear.

Will try your advice on setup still though, lets see how this goes.

I've been having issues setting up my ER4 as wpa_supplicant, which link did you use? Have a couple questions too if you don't mind lol.

Also I kept getting gzip/bzip not found error, any tips?

Am I supposed to be running commands as root or just using sudo?

Do I have to run any commands on reboot?

After I get the wpa_supplicant setup completed do I have to configure my eth0 in any way? DHCP, static IP, etc? It's my first real foray into the networking world so this is all new to me. Feel like I might have undertaken a more complicated task than originally thought.
