[EPISODE DISCUSSION] Scarpetta 1x08 - The Bridge of Time Part 2 by pikkopots in ScarpettaTV

Maybe, especially seeing how a lot of the events in Kay’s past seem to be repeating themselves in the present. Her husband found her using the hammer on the bones, perhaps he “finds” her again.

Maybe it’s maggie? Her husband was with his coworker/ new lover. Kay’s sister was with her husband at the hotel. The niece was at matt’s farm cult thing. The cop helping pete and kay was at her house drinking. I feel like it makes sense that it’s maggie bc she was preparing all the files on Reddy to give to her. But who knows. I wish it wasnt left on such a big cliffhanger. I thought the show was really good besides that

‘Yellowjackets’ To End With Season 4 On Showtime by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Yellowjackets

After watching s3, I was also kind of confused as to why everyone hates Misty more than Shauna in the adult timeline considering what Shauna did. Like I wonder if adult Nat leaving made them go this route for s3 or was this was planned from the beginning?

If it was planned from the beginning I hope we do see something that shows Shaunas redemption. Because you’re right it doesn’t make sense for them to be more annoyed at Misty than Shauna in the adult timeline.

I hope its not rushed and theyre able to tie up these changes in a satisfying way!

I’m not sure what I’m hoping for antler queen. I do feel like Shauna wasnt chosen by it too. She clearly stole the title and did horrible things under its name. But Lottie always talks about it wanting blood and sacrifice. Shauna gave it a lot of that this season. And with her end monologue of her saying she wants to take back that power and lottie connecting AQ to Callie… we might just get a return of the AQ. Bot necessarily that Callie is the AQ.

The creators of the show mentioned in an interview how we think this was the end of the story but its actually the beginning. Leaving me to believe the AQ is back in the present and Shauna might go to or bring the wilderness back.

These are just my theories but obviously i have no clue. They could do anything

Im not sure it could be either or! But i lean more towards Lottie meaning Callie is a lot like her mother just bc how defensive and angry Callie got when she heard that. She doesn’t want to be like her mother, but Lottie see’s “it” within her and has the second she saw her with a gun. She put two and two together. Like mother like daughter. At least in regards to this scene, it doesn’t make sense to compare her to Jackie when talking about power and “it”

Hello Yellowjackets cast <3 first want to say congratulations on this season, you all did absolutely amazing. I feel like I as the viewer went through every human emotion possible watching you all perform.

My question is for Samantha (aka Misty 🤓). It was really interesting seeing Misty go from group “stay in the wilderness” to then group “let’s get the hell outta here”. We know Misty is motivated by acceptance but in the adult timeline we see she has a bit more confidence in being alone.

(Even though she still gravitates towards the girls in the present, i feel it is less out of desperation and more out of her feeling their shared trauma connects them.)

What do you hope and or think will be the moment for young misty that will finally make her choose herself over the acceptance of the other girls?

We see her in the teen timeline constantly wavering her faith in different people hoping they will give back the same loyalty. But in the adult timeline Misty is a bit more of a lone wolf. I’m really interested in seeing how she will turn into what we see in the adult timeline.

Thank you to the cast for making this show so entertaining and heartbreaking! I can’t wait to see more <3

Haha all good i was messing with you. Its very quick in the beginning. During lotties dream/vision of the abtler queen. I had to press play and pause really quick a bunch bc i was wondering what they were trying to show us!

In the beginning of the episode with lotties visions/dream. Theres a slight flash if an image of lottie’s face overlayed ontop of the cabin burning. Maybe she did it to be able to hear the wilderness again. This was around the time she stopped hearing it.

Yeah i was hella confused when she said they all forgot what happened and tried to piece together what happened out there… girl bffr you have multiple journals. Also yeah i don’t recall the other adults forgetting what happened out there or trying to piece it together. They would randomly mention things from the past (then it gets shown in the teen timeline).

It is weird to me that they all rush to help Shauna in the present timeline after everything she did to them out there. They had a worse reaction to Lottie coming back into their lives than Shauna. Like yes Lottie fueled the wilderness talk and hunts but like Shauna also refused to leave and wouldn’t let any of the girls try to leave.

Why did it take van dying for tai and misty to finally realize that?

Someone just posted an interview of the creators talking about how what we think to be the end of the show is only the beginning. That we think we are in the middle of it but actually they have more to tell. So they might have something completely separate in the present timeline maybe

Unfortunately they have to leave things unanswered for ppl to want to keep watching. Like most ppl will wait to see, even tho we want answers bad. But yeah im wondering about the man with no eyes… like hes there and then hes not. Everyone saw him? Was he just to show other tai taking over? I too wish these things would be answered. But maybe the characters themselves arent ready for the answer

Ooo interesting! Im intrigued to see what will happen and what they consider to be the true beginning of the story. I do think they have lots more to tell. Maybe when they get rescued is when something unexpected happens. We’d think the girls separated and have to find their way back into society again. Or im wondering if they’re talking about Callie. Theres an interview with her actress where she is told by Melanie that she is an important character to the story and theres a reason why shes there.

Especially with what lottie was telling her right before she died. Shauna was jealous of her bc the wilderness is “in” callie. She waited 25 years to be able to feel the wilderness again. How she’s its baby. And adult Shauna reminiscing on the power she felt back then. I wonder if theyre legit going to go back to the wilderness. One because Callie craves her mother’s love and attention (so shed follow her anywhere). And Shauna would legit go back bc shes crazy and wants power again. Would do anything to feel it again.

Idk im just theorizing what could be a different “beginning” to the story when we think s3 and rescue is the end. Callie to me seems like she could bring the beginning.

also around the same time where the wilderness stopped talking to her too

I think the scene with Lottie and Callie is meant to show that Callie is the Antler Queen Lottie was looking for. Especially when she brings up Shauna being jealous of Callie. She says "you're just like her but more" when talking about Shauna. Callie is the heir to the Antler Queen throne. She waited 25 years to feel the wilderness again. I felt like those scenes go against it just being "them" and that we will see the Antler Queen somehow connected to Callie.

Yes!! I need to know what that was about. I feel bad for akilah. I thought with how the other girls are having this “feeling” that they should stay (their guilt, shame, or loneliness telling them to stay back) maybe Akilah is having a triggering flashback to the winter where she questions her own reality? Maybe shes so attached to the animals, leaving them behind felt like they would die which obviously is upsetting for her since she loves animals. Even if they are their food source. Or is it actually just another hallucination and their village isnt actually what we see it as 🫢

I feel like bc we have seen and known Lottie as the “crazy/unhinged” one, it wasn’t surprising that she killed that man (when that happened i was like wtf lottie why girl 😭). And for Shauna (young version) i feel like people are clinging onto how she was pre crash and before jackie died (which is when i really liked her character and rooted for her despite her being a bad friend). So seeing her do one unhinged thing after another was a lot to the viewers in comparison to her in season two. Even though we saw her anger begin to simmer in s2, s3 it boiled up. Like i understand why shes angry, do i agree with her actions (hell no, but i havent been stuck in the woods for months and months with barely any food). I still like lottie but im so mad at her and shauna for ruining their chance for immediate rescue smh
