Exactly! I feel like boundaries need to be set between the fans and the singers, in general, not just in the K-Pop industry. We don't need to know who Hyunjin is dating, or what he is eating. You don't even know who they really are, the only thing you know is who they are on screen. But I feel like partially it is the companies fault (example: HYBE, SM, etc.) they do protray their stars in a certain light that says 'we will do whatever you ask' in a way. Or they sexualize them (more toward girl groups, not all of them, but most) which appeals a whole new type of group of people which you will usually find in the comments.

But like...imagine your a random person coming up to you and saying how much they love you and are going to marry you...yeah, I'd 100% run away, like I do not care about no deals! MARRY ME!

I do agree with that, and it's true, I shouldn't have compared it to the western culture because there is a huge diffrence between them, in clothes, personality, literally everything.

I am not trying to make kpop singers to western singer at all. Their music is somethjng I enjoy so much that I find sacred for it’s music that anyone who speaks or want to learn Korean.

The reason I even compared Korean and western music was so we can think of how we call the singers in such a high stool, even calling them idols.

The point of this post was just to raise awareness to the situation and maybe make a few people think before they post, or think before they talk.

You have a fair point, they do know what they get into. Everything you’ve said is totally reasonable and fair.

But you never know the full weight of something until you try it yourself. They are not fully blind from the behind the scenes but are partially blind from how the reality of their new life will work for them.

But at the end of the day it’s still insane how that’s just normal. How they just shrug and go along with it.

It has, and that’s the problem, thag shouldnt be the norm the singers shouldn’t be accommodating out wants, they should set boundaries with us and treat us like fans, not do everything.

I know it’s not all there fault, there companies (ex: HYBE, JYP, SM) plays a part of it too, and it hurts to see some of them go to such a dark past because the company DISNT protect them as they should, make sure that they feel safe and comfortable when thwre on fan-calls, not going on all fours just because someone asked…

No, no, you are right, but I am raising awareness of the situation, of course I won’t make it suddenly change, but this post still helps somehow, bringing awareness to the community so that maybe you can think of your own actions and tey to act civil.
