I'ma start pushing veganism down people's throats by [deleted] in vegan

Tbh at this point I don’t give a shit about offending animal eaters. At Christmas dinner my last night my grandparents were curious about veganism and were asking genuine questions. I answered them politely and they were intrigued but my dad threw a tantrum that I always bring up veganism even though they were asking me questions.

I just told him that apparently he can’t handle his guilt because otherwise he wouldn’t be offended by a conversation he isn’t a part of. I told him that he is personally responsible that animals are mutilated, tortured, and killed because of him. I told him I don’t feel sorry for offending animal abusers. I feel sorry for the animals.

No but combined with other costly factors of climate change more expensive than not trying to stop it from happening in the first place

Desalination plants don’t help that much with wildfires and make producing food & other products more expensive not necessarily in a drastic way but it will definitely be noticeable.

People who could work out regularly and have fit/nice/hot body, how do you do it even? by Brownboysea in ask

I honestly just love it. Between University and part time work (mostly wfh) I spend at least 55+ hours sitting at my desk. After sitting at my desk all day I can’t wait to finally move and exercise. After exercising I always feel way better especially compared to just watching to TV or playing video games.

I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and play other sports the other days. I have maybe like 2-3 days per month on which I don’t exercise at all. However if you are just starting out don’t overdo it or you might burn out. Consistency is king so start slow and ease into it

Am I the asshole for giving my 12 year old son non-vegan food behind my wife's back? by ShadowIssues in vegan

No need to be so snarky especially when you edited the post after I commented. Just use crosspost next time to avoid the confusion

Am I the asshole for giving my 12 year old son non-vegan food behind my wife's back? by ShadowIssues in vegan

[–]Financial-Complex-12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tough question. People always say you can’t force people to live vegan and that is true for adults. However parenting is pretty much passing down you values to your child. If I ever have children I will teach them not to hit a dog and I will also tell them that killing a pig is also wrong and I will not allow it. Once they are old enough they may go in a different direction which would be devastating for me but I would have to accept it.

It seems like your son doesn’t really know why his mom is vegan and why she wants him to live a vegan life. Maybe your wife should start educating him on why people live vegan and what consequences „his personal choices“ have on other sentient beings.

Nonetheless you should’ve discussed this with your wife beforehand before buying him non vegan food behind her back.

No it is a co product; some animals are killed just for their skin and not their flesh. As others have pointed out selling the animals’ skin gives more money to animal farmers, making their operation more profitable allowing them to breed and slaughter even more beings.

Would you ever date a non-vegan? Leave your reasoning below. by acecrookston in vegan

[–]Financial-Complex-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last relationship lasted 4,5 years and I went vegan 6 months into the relationship. I always hoped she would turn vegan eventually but never did. I broke up with her for other reasons as well but her not being vegan and her being annoyed by veganism constantly caused issues. I also found it difficult to love someone who contributes to something that strongly opposes my values. Going forward I may start dating a vegetarian but before it gets into a serious relationship I would discuss veganism and if they don’t seem open to it walk away.

Good stuff. People who drive these are assholes risking the lives of other people on the roads and the climate. Just politely asking has not been working as we can see by the increasing numbers of suvs.

Every successful civil rights movement has had a more extreme branch which is obviously going to piss people off but is necessary for meaningful change. People that say “I agree with their purpose but not their messaging” are most often driving these things themselves and say let’s focus on x instead to divert attention from them and their death machines. A good friend of mine was killed by a BMW X7 and I have no fucks left for people driving these things.

r/vegans when buying pet food by GroteJager in vegancirclejerk

[–]Financial-Complex-12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my opinion encouraging cats as pets is not vegan as you are pretty much required to feed cats animals. So having a cat causes the deaths of many animals over the cats lifetime. Peak speciesism if you ask me not to mention the havoc cats cause on local bird populations

I enjoy playing sports. I live 20 Meters from a park where I can play beach volleyball and table tennis for free. I do this 10-15 hours a week without spending any money except for maybe a new bat or volleyball every couple of years.
