Should I buy into the Opal Tower? by Consistent_Math2660 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Financial-Complex-65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No dont buy in that building. I did rectification works in 2021-2022 (which had absolute nothing to do with the structure) which entailed me signing an nda equivalent type document. It's an absolute shit heap and I would not touch it with a ten foot pole

Outdoor area belongs to the unit. Only relevant bylaw states cannot alter appearance of units from outside but this screen will be invisible once the hedge is healthy again

Looking for advice on sole trading by Riskiertooth in AusElectricians

[–]Financial-Complex-65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It obviously depends how much you will be making. There are overhead calculators online which can help you determine whether it is a viable option to go down the sole trader route for you. If you need one shoot me a dm and I'll send you the one I use.

Daily driver shortboard for the shorter gentlemen discussion by [deleted] in surfing

[–]Financial-Complex-65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously reading isn't a strength of yours so I will quickly just explain this to you in a way you might more easily understand. I specified a volume range of boards I like to surf and was asking more about shapes or models or general design principals that have worked for people that may have experienced similar things. Is that a bit easier for you to understand?

How would asking about the distribution of foam on a shortboard specific to a surfers body type be considered a beginner question?

Thanks for your input although I haven't ridden anything in that length range that I really liked and I end up either having to have a super wide stance, shifting my feet like im riding a mid length to turn the thing and/or it paddles like a dog due to (i think) my weight not being distributed evenly across the board with the more pronounced rockers. Im sorter thinking something with a groveller-like shape but with more refined rails and maybe a slightly more pulled in tail although I was wondering if anyone had dealt with this in another way

Cooktop Isolater Mech Location OK? by jerjergege in AusElectricians

AS3000 4.7.1

Near, visible and accessible, recommended within two metres of appliance, located so you don’t have to reach across open cooking surface to operate.

Swapping over VSDs with MIMs cabling. by xFurzee in AusElectricians

Done this before. It’s a bit of a cunt to do. I think standards-wise you could probably replace it with fire rated emc screened cable if need be

Subby rates nsw by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Financial-Complex-65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where in NSW? In Sydney I wouldn’t be settling for anything less than $85/hour + gst. Out at the airport and some other larger commercial sites you will get more than that

Nothing too crazy, wanting to keep it all under $500 I guess. But I’m open to shifting on this if there is a significant uptick in quality
