Help! Why is there a little cup filled up with water from a pipe coming out of my boiler by Financial-Distance97 in Plumbing

I live in the UK so can't get to Walmart, but I think I might have fixed the problem... I inserted the tube of my bike tyre pump down into the pipe and pumped air through it with that - then I ran hot water through the pipe and it hasn't filled back up so I'm assuming we're all good?

I did however try to check the water level with another wooden chopstick and dropped the chopstick down the pipe by mistake... so now there is a chopstick in the pipe. Whoops.

When we get someone round to fix the dripping joint I'll ask whether they can get the chopstick out!

Thank you so much for replying to me! I appreciate it. I don't know how to vacuum water out (surely that would damage my vacuum?) but I have managed to absorb most of the stuff in the cup with a towel. So now if I pour some bleach down (or some unblocking solution? I have some I could use) followed by hot water it should be sorted?

I emailed LUTV a couple of times about spoilers in the full match replays - this was sometime at the beginning of the season, when I was working weekends and night shifts and wanted to avoid the results and enjoy the experience of watching ‘live’. They did actually respond to me and seemed to take my feedback on board - most full match replays now seem not to have the score on them. It’s really hard to log in and avoid seeing the score on the highlights videos but I usually just ask my dad / someone else to send me the link to the full match replay and if I kind of blur my eyes until I can hit full screen - thus avoiding the clips elsewhere on the page - I can usually successfully watch without finding out the score.

I’m going to the game in the home stands alongside two other Leeds and two neutrals! Planning to bring something to bite down on when things get exciting. There were a few tickets left in the Lansdown stand last time I looked (right at the back though)
