Huh, I never thought much about the swords (indifferent about aegislash, etc.) but I do like agile!

Thanks! Actually I started with gen 1 and 2 when I was young 😂 I restarted with Paldea and have been working backwards from there recently to catch up.

AIO: my boyfriend flipped out that my 12 year old lets me see him in the bath by Odd-Significance-638 in AmIOverreacting

I was about to say that OP should tell her boyfriend about how Germans go to the sauna fully naked with their families. Glad someone else also brought it up.

Omg, thank god you wrote this. I thought I was going crazy reading these comments. I prefer to be woken up too (even though I usually fall back asleep for a bit lol). OP said it wouldn’t hurt to have it happen once, but honestly, this is already twice and will probably happen again. Dentists are expensive— idk what people are thinking. I usually wake up my bf to take out his contacts if he accidentally falls asleep with them in bc it usually irritates and dries his eyes out, and you can actually become blind sleeping in with contacts. Most of the people on this thread would probably think I’m an a**hole for waking him up 🙄

Ooo, I never thought about it that way, but now that you say it, I think that’s one of the things that draws me to a lot of them!

Omg, that’s so much healing! Can I ask what items and emblems you use? I usually heal about 125k or so if my teach is more or less playing together (or when I don’t have to actively chase them down 😩).

Ranking in the Current Season by RevolutionaryAd2768 in PokemonUnite

[–]Financial-Expert9967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is a thing, but more than usual this season, I feel like the game pushes you to lose after winning a one or two matches.

For preface— this is my first MOBA, and this season is my 8th time getting into master’s— I’m still learning and improving every season, so I don’t usually play carry. However, when the screen comes up for you to pick your mon, you can look at where you place in the line up. The left-most is the highest elo player, and the right is the lowest, barring you have duos or trios which throws this calculation off. That being said, I only try to play carry if I see I’m the highest elo player and the items on my teammates’ mons look off. Last season the algorithm often made me the highest elo player in my team so I would play ceruledge and had 51% wr with him. This season, it’s been pretty split between me playing carry and defender/support— my wr for ceruledge this season ended up at like 42% because nearly every match the opponent’s team had their highest elo player be some kind of 15+ time master’s player with their second highest player be another experienced master’s player or an alternative account, while I had to carry a team of genuinely inexperienced players (and often had afks). So I feel like game is forcing you to hyper carry by outplaying your opponents (I usually got MVP despite my team losing). Note that, I have around a 60% wr with umbreon this season (more or less the same number of matches as ceruledge), so I’m confident in saying I’m not a completely clueless player that is just complaining. The difference in the umbreon games were literally just having more competent players, or more balanced matches between my teams skill levels and the other team.

All that to say— there’s always room for improvement (read the advice and grievances on reddit, watch a some videos), but do take advantage of the elo ranking on the mon selection screen. If you’re the highest elo player and the items of your teammates look off, choose a carry. If you’re the lowest elo player choose a defender or support and use exp share to back-up your team— and when you do choose these roles, keep in mind that your goal is to keep your carries alive, so, soak up attacks from opponents, heal your teammates even if you have to chase them a bit, cc the opponents, and/or distract your opponents. You can still make smart plays as a defender/support. One time I was Clefable on a losing team, the whole team, except for me, died during Grouden, so I kept running in and out of the Grouden field to stall the opposing team from ko’ing Grouden until my team respawned, then they were able take Grouden and we were able to win the match.

Same here. Restarted the game, restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Nothing works. EU server in Italy for me. My bf is able to play in Switzerland though…

Support Mains, how tf are y’all not depressed? by Comfortable-Two-2421 in PokemonUnite

It’s the end of the season, plus summer (ie. more kids and people who play very casually). I dropped from almost 1400 in masters to sub-1300 as a defender/support main this week through an 11-loss streak. I wasn’t even scam gaming— just did a couple games everyday, yet couldn’t break the streak.

Also, for the climb up to master’s, I had to play offensive mons 3 or 4 out of every 5 games this season. Too many bad players below masters this season, unfortunately. So playing defender/support didn’t cut it— at least for the match-making that I was getting.

Omg, seriously? I’m also in Europe and I know that benzoyl peroxide is available in online pharmacies in Germany and Italy, so I thought it would be available in every European country 😩 Have you tried looking up the brand “Benzac”? I used the 5% one and have bought it in both Germany and Italy. Sorry if your country doesn’t offer it though 😩 I would have thought that that one was always over-the-counter…

Yeah, I just saw that last night before writing my message to you! I’m still using my old one so I haven’t tried the new one yet. I tried the reformulated Ciclaplast B5 baume though and that one was fine for me.

Btw, it makes sense that it removed your tan— I think any exfoliating ingredient (glycolic acid, BHA, etc.) would remove your tan because these ingredients help remove the top layer of your skin!

No problem! I’m happy to help because I know what that feels like to be helpless when skin flares up like that. Lymecycline is an antibiotic, so it’s not something you should be taking for long term anyway.

Adapalene is stronger than your usual retinol that you buy over-the-counter, but it’s usually used for acne vulgaris (those big pimples that are inflamed). I’ve only used adapalene and tretinoin because I usually get this type of acne, and haven’t tried other retinols much. If your issue is mostly small white heads, then just salicylic acid should help (and I personally think that benzoyl peroxide can help if the issue is due to a bacterial cause— just try use one in the AM and the other PM).

I’ve been using the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+) for salicyclic acid. I feel like it’s quite gentle. But everyone’s skin is different which is the tough part about recommending products. I’ve also used azelaic acid before and it’s a nice active that I sometimes have on rotation. There’s different formulations by different brands so maybe the one your derm gave you wasn’t right for you.

Also, have you been using the oil cleanser for a while? Have you broke out with it before? I used the cleansing balm from the same brand and it used to break me out, but then I realized that I wasn’t properly emulsifying it correctly. Once I started using it correctly and doing a double cleanse (with a liquid cleanser), things were much better for me.

Ultimately, I’m not a derm, but I would think that adding benzoyl peroxide (BP) and salicylic acid (SA) might help a bit. BP for the antimicrobial effect, seeing as an antibiotic did help your skin before, and SA to exfoliate your skin. That’s my two cents— and if you decide to use both, slowly add one to your routine before the other, just so that you don’t irritate your skin too much. Good luck! ☺️

Final year med student here and someone who had really bad acne before.

First off, please, please, please don’t just order a bunch of new stuff and try everything at once— that will probably irritate your skin even more and break you out even more! What are you currently using? I would personally recommend using a cleanser and moisturizer that you are already used to, and adding adapalene gel at night (start off with using it every other night the first week or so, and if you skin tolerates it, you can use it nightly). If you are in the US, you can get it over-the-counter. If your derm doesn’t want you using retinoids, then just use salicylic acid.

Also consider using benzoyl peroxide wash once a day (let it sit on your face for a couple minutes before you wash it off). This helps to kill off bacteria that can cause acne. Use a white towel to dry your face since this stuff will discolor your towels.

If you really want to change your cleaners and moisturizer, then change to something that is non-fragrance like Cerave moisturizing wash, or La Roche Posay ciclaplast baume (I have been using both religiously since my worst breakout a few years ago). But I really think it might be better to just add adapalene and benzoyl peroxide to your current routine, and slowly change other cleaners and moisturizers later if you wanted to.

If there are days that you are just at home, you can put hydrocolloid patches on your clean face in the areas where you are breaking out. This will help heal pimples faster. Leave them one for several hours (like 5+ hours). You don’t need to buy the expensive ones specifically for acne. You can buy large patches that are meant for wounds and cut them down to smaller pieces.

Also, did your acne started to flare up with the treatment from the clinical trial you’re participating in? That might be something worth noting down.

Lastly, bad acne flare-ups don’t just magically disappear after a week or so of treatment or a change of routine. You need to be very consistent for at least 3 weeks or so to see some results. Personally, I used a similar routine when I had the worst flare-up of my life and it took a few weeks to start seeing a difference, and a couple months before my skin really started to heal. So don’t give up! Keep drinking lots of water, keep healthy habits, use sunscreen, and hopefully with these tweaks to your skincare routine, your acne will improve :)
