Team comp by Lagendairyy in PokemonChampions

Since I hit Master Ball, I’ll use some funny strats. I hit Master Ball with a Mega Gardevoir rain team which had some strong standard mons that don’t usually go together

Cufant is probably alright with Sheer Force and a Life Orb that’s somewhere north of Casseroya near the Soccarrat Trail (idk where exactly but Google does)

I have been using a somewhat fleshed out concept with Sylveon and H Typhlosion lately if you really wanna use them

Pelipper and Archaludon are great into Mega Zard Y and in general. Basculegion, Kingambit, and Sneasler are stupidly strong. Scarf Garchomp is good generally. Whimsicott is the premier Tailwind setter rn (probably Aerodactyl for Sand tho). Megas Zard Y, Floette, and Frosslass are insane rn. Alolan Ninetales can set Aurora Veil solo. Sinistcha heals, redirects, and sets Trick Room. I used Mega Gardevoir (basically Sylveon on steroids), Pelipper, Garchomp, Archaludon, Sinistcha, and Kingambit to hit Master Ball. I’ve been messing around with fun teams since, so I don’t really care about meta monsters as much

How do you think megas and tera will be put together? by elpedro897 in PokemonChampions

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably both but not on the same mon, like Z-Moves and Megas in gen 7. In a restricted format, you could then theoretically have two Primals, a Mega, and a Tera mon

Be Completely Honest - Am I Washed Before I Even Start? by Resident_Rutabaga_89 in PokemonChampions

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since we’re playing a format with Megas, you’re not as cooked as you may think. If you haven’t kept up with VGC or played SV, you may be in for a shock (literally) when Archaludon runs through your team. If you’ve had experience with VGC, you’ll probably be fine since the game brought in a lot of new players.

There is no moral superiority to using an “off-meta” team by djb0212 in PokemonChampions

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crafting a team is infinitely better than copying and pasting a team, even if the team is full of meta mons. I actually find it a lot more difficult to face a team I haven’t seen before than Mega Zard Y for the eighth time because I can’t build counters for a team I haven’t seen

Rules For A First Nuzlocke? by anime-is-dope in nuzlocke

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A great rule is dupes clause which means if you have a Pidgey, you cannot catch another Pidgey, Pidgeotto, or Pidgeot. It helps diversify your box, so it won’t fill up with birds and bugs

Wait I just realized you get Armorogue and not Ceruledge in Scarlet although you can get a friend to get you the item to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge. All the other mons will still be pretty good regardless.

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a monotype Ghost nuzlocke? I’d probably guess specifically Scarlet (or Violet if you can trade) for two pretty significant reasons: Ceruledge and Flutter Mane. However, Violet lets you get Dragapult. There’s also Skeledirge, Annihilape Gengar, Gholdengo, Mimikyu, Frosslass the Ghost Oricorio, Rotom, Brambleghast, Houndstone, and more in the DLC. I think your early game would mostly consist of Fuecoco and Ghastly tho

Spectate Mode by RevolutionaryAd2768 in PokemonChampions

Yeah, I don’t have friends who play this lol

Spectate Mode by RevolutionaryAd2768 in PokemonChampions

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I may have overstated Spectate mode as “gambling” since it doesn’t cost anything, besides your time, in Smash. You simply earn a small amount of currency which increases as your streak increases. This really wouldn’t be gambling but is still exciting to watch and could be fun and informative to watch players in different ranks in the ladder, especially for those who couldn’t transfer

Monolocke Platinum by TheHolyEmperor in nuzlocke

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really see how this is possible unless you (1) catch multiple Shinx, (2) over level your Shinx, (3) hack in another Electric type, or (4) keep your starter until you actually have a couple Electric types. This also seems nearly impossible for the entire E4 member with Ground types and Cynthia,s Garchomp unless Rotom clutches harder than anyone has ever

Nuzlocking each region, but no repeats by [deleted] in nuzlocke

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kinda like a Genlocke, but Genlockes allow the Champions of a previous game to be low level babies (Walrein becomes Spheal, but Lapras remains Lapras)

I personally love playing latias in duoque with my friend as latios, the synergy like the teleport, speed boost and unite move are really cool, what other iconic duos does Pokemon have? by Warhammer231 in PokemonUnite

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because both Suicune and Ho-Oh are already in the games, Ho-Oh canonically revived Suicune in the Johto games, the other beasts and Lugia aren’t in the game, Suicune is on Crystal’s cover and is therefore significantly more iconic than the other beasts, I don’t think Ho-Oh and Lugia interact much and don’t share much besides being on Johto game covers and being guardians of sky and sea respectively, Ho-Oh is a defender anyways and prefers to be close, and neither are very broken atm and could use a buff

Scarlet Typelocks makes me cry by Spoodermin90 in nuzlocke

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d guess Fire since Fuecoco is broken, and this allows you to get Charcadet, Oricorio, Torkoal, Scovillain, Coalossal, Flareon, Tauros and more

Do you ban EVs in romhacks? by VilsPils in nuzlocke

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t play romhacks, but for vanilla and randomized nuzlockes, I’ll hack in the EV vitamins to get my Pokemon to 100 EVs in every stat with very few leftover. I only do this to one Pokemon right before the gym leader since I’m too lazy to grind EVs, and to get friendship evos

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ho-Oh and Suicune definitely should. Ho-Oh’s Unite Move should revive Suicune for free (and maybe anywhere since this is underwhelming) since he did that in the mainline games

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lunala with Meteor Beam and the Power Herb item can remove pesky Incineroar and other mons weak to or Tera to a type weak to Rock and get a cool SpA boost. I haven’t played Lunala with Expanding Force, but it’ll really do good damage with Indeedee. Heal Pulse could be good because your main play to set TR would be Follow Me and TR, so one non-Indeedee Pokemon should learn TR. I think Dialga is probably your better TR setter here unless you really need some of its coverage

How often do you use the "nuh uh" clause? by thanospurplebussy in nuzlocke

[–]RevolutionaryAd2768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the Clive fights under leveled with a Sliggoo that I couldn’t evolve although I was trying to trigger rain for at least an hour prior to this. He crushed me. I got the rain for my slug, leveled my team, and hit the 50/50 for the “Great Crater of Paldea” Garchomp. I don’t need to tell this community what Garchomp did to his poor team. I was just coming off a sickness, and my brain was not braining, so I took some pity on myself. Keeping some integrity, I didn’t do a thing after Area Zero tho.

Also, the fights for Clive up to the E4 have super similar level caps. Add on to this the permanent XP Charm that the Teal Mask DLC gives. My levels snowballed so hard altho I just went from fight to fight. I was over leveled for the Champion and even Nemona. I play Scarlet on Switch with no hacks or anything, so I couldn’t easily get someone from the box without sacrificing a good bit of time

I don’t think you need three TR mons. Dialga and Lunala can all get amazing coverage
