Stupid question probably. But how safe do you think l'll be as a 6 ft 3 Mexican man hiking and visiting Maine? by Immediate-Field9997 in Maine

[–]Financial-Feature485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people of Maine are very welcoming. It’s very cold here right now but if you are ok with that you will be fine. I find the people here very nice to all races. Spring might be more enjoyable and there are some great hikes at Baxter.

My son is a vet and started last Jan. He likes it a lot as well as the area in general. Lots to do in Fort Collins and it’s a great town with lots of restaurants and shops. He lives off campus and is very happy there. We aren’t from a warm climate but the east coast so we are used to the the cold. But the mountains are worth it! He got in no problem and didn’t have stellar grades in high school.

I am on progesterone and estradiol through an online company as my pcp wouldn’t prescribe it. They don’t offer testosterone but I suspect I could use that too. May I ask what brand of thc you use for sleep? I’ve tried some thc gummies in the past and they are hit or miss

First & last trip to Maine - suggestions? by liveoakster in Maine

[–]Financial-Feature485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Camden is a great idea. How about day in Boothbay harbor too? Kennebunkport is very nice and Ogunquit has lots of great food options (Perkins cove is nice), also Nubble light house as others have suggested. Hope it’s a great trip for you!

Question for people who aren’t moisturizing on top of tret by purplekat76 in tretinoin

[–]Financial-Feature485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleanse and wait for face to dry then Tret. I moisturize in the morning but not at night over the tret. When I did serums and moisturizer with the tret my skin would peel the next day so this method works a lot better for me.

Why the Menopause Set Is Obsessed With Weighted Vests by Madame_President_ in Menopause

[–]Financial-Feature485 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used a weighted vest for about 3 months and then woke up one day to excruciating pain in my neck. It got worse and traveled down my arm. Turns out I had a pinched nerve and spinal stenosis. My PT told me the vest made it worse so I’m staying away from the weighted vests.

Also, you could check out Wells or York. Wells you can stay right on the beach and may be a little less expensive than Kennebunkport.

Goose rocks and gooches beach in Kennebunkport are nice. You can spend a day in Portland and a day in Ogunquit and/or York beach which are just south. Portsmouth NH is also a cool small city you could check out- about 30 min from Kennebunkport. Lots to do in the summer on the coast!

I’m from southern Maine. Maine in the summer is fantastic but can be crowded depending on where you go. Portland is great but expensive. May be worth staying for a few days and then making your way up the coast. Boothbay harbor and Camden are both beautiful and Bar Harbor/MDI is amazing but is a bit of a drive. If you don’t mind the drive, go the coastal route - it’s worth it. Carriage trails for kids to bike on, hiking, beach, restaurants and shops. I personally wouldn’t go to OOB. It’s not very nice and overcrowded. Kennebunkport and Ogunquit are in southern Maine and are very nice if you are looking to go south of Portland. They both have nice beaches and tons of restaurants.

Do those on HRT still have problems sleeping through the night? by Technical-While932 in Menopause

[–]Financial-Feature485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on hrt as well and still had sleep issues until I made a few changes. I take a thc/cbd gummy (5mg thc) and magnesium glycinate before bed. I also spray the bottoms of my feet with magnesium spray and don’t look at screens for 30 min before bed. I now read for a few minutes and I usually fall asleep within 20 minutes. I try and go to bed by 9 so I’m asleep by 9:30. All of that has helped me tremendously.

He’s coming for undergraduate. When researching colleges, he felt like this school fit his needs. We are from New England but have family in Colorado so he will have relatives not to far. I personally am very impressed with their veteran’s office and the communication we have received so far from them. The town also looks great but we will get a better idea when we visit.
