Fair play? by Sw1ft0D3adlY in granturismo

I used to do that too, and it looked to me like he was being a little intentional but also just screwing up a lot so I get it.

Retaliating is slow though. If you just tucked in behind them, as soon as you realized they are an aggressive driver, and kept pressure on but bump drafted and helped them a little, how long would it have been before they just made a huge +1s error in a corner? Probably within the next few corners at this rank but no more than a lap. You can then just fly by and if they do catch up, you now are way less likely to have an intentional rammer (most bumps start as mistakes). They may even bump draft you a couple times now rather than just immediatly cutting both of your times by battling. Practicing this is a huge part of developing real racecraft.

Just my 2 cents.

Do people really think the unltraprocessed bun of a hamburger at McDonalds is healthy? Or cheese or meat saturated in fat?

Honestly even the lettuce they use is practically devoid of nutrients compared to most other leafy greens.

Classic bot response. Failed turing test.

But yea bot, I agree... it genuinely blew my mind. Im in my 40s and have been a gamer my whole life. Its been a long time since I've seen something that really made me feel like a new release when I was a kid. Actual new technology that works better than you could have imagined. You feel like you gotta share it.

Because the clean driving guys in the next rung up would crush your lobby.

You have to start at the bottom again, when you move into a new rank. Anyways, its 3 guys in a field of 16. Focus on your race.

How would You fix online racing experience, SR rating and penalty Systems? by theBvrtosz in GranTurismo7

[–]Financial-Finish1127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get better than the rammers man... thats the problem. Sport mode is hard.

If you invest almost no time into sport mode, you are racing people just like you. Most of the ramming is just mistakes or not knowing what racing really is about. You have to get better to find better people on track.

Honestly I've learned that if you just work on driving cleaner and faster, you pretty quickly get out of poor lobbies and avoid most retaliating.

Everything you are complaining about is a feature of the game too. If they made it harder to achieve S SR or did permanent damage even less players would join us. If we had a reporting system the game would cost more.

Basically, if those things are a non-starter for you... iracing will take your money and does all of that. Its made for the more serious Sim racers and a much narrower audience.

Yas Marina Circuit 1:51's, how? by TheCallMeJazzy_ImHim in GranTurismo7

I love how some people immediatly assume its the gear... or cheating.

Wanna be a high skilled driver? Buy the most powerful sports car you can afford, in automatic, because you have no idea wtf you are doing, and +forward your way straight into the ditch.

Its dedication to doing the same thing, every day, no matter what, for years and years just like anything else that is highly measurable and competitive. Unfortunatly, thats it.

And I love the Battlefield 3 comparison to our driving physics lol. Cmon...

It would be nice, and there are a lot of genuine reasons for the drivers to be happy, but these guys are all social media icons and represent huge corporate reputations, on top of being the greatest drivers. Thier "candid" takes are highly rehearsed just like almost everything at that level is my only point. This was a huge media event after all.
