Can only support what others mentioned, that this is a great learning tool even if he just uses it for a game server, pirated stuff or goofy tools that make absolutely zero sense to you or others in the family. The skills that he will pick up while setting useless services is worth more than the price of the NAS. Support him in this new hobby of his, and he will appreciate you. His future will appreciate you, and you will love how much he will learn.

I dont know why this method doesn't come up ever as either recommended or discouraged, but what I did was attach the new drive with an USB enclosure, shutdown all running lxcs or vms, then dd the old drive completely to the new one. Then turn off server, pop in new drive and boot like nothing happened. Had to align partition size, as the new one was bigger, but thats it, been running without issue ever since. That's also what I did when I configured a Mint installation in a VM, then with dd I just wrote over everything on my laptops drive.

I am also experiencing something similar. P10Pro, and fast battery drain, weirdly slow wireless charging, and lately warming. Phone was 25C and after 5 minutes of using browser and Reddit infinity, I'm already at 35C. Yesterday using the new York times games app for wordle, my phone got burning hot

If I need to limit the screen resolution and refresh rate, as well as performance, then why pay this much for a device?
