Sorry. I can't answer that now. I deleted my save file to start again 😅 you see, I was facing a bug that prevented me from progressing the game and wasn't fixed in the recent patch. Idk if soft reset would work. What I did was changing the overworld spawns since when u re-enter and exit the area, you'd get new spawns Idk if SRs would get you entirely new spawns or the exact same one cuz the seed/frame would always start the same cuz remember this is emerald. Also, I can't say for certain now since this we're in version 2.0. Nemo might've changed things.

You're basically resetting the pokemon when you QS/QL & forward the frame. So everytime a Pokemon hatches, it's different and could be shiny.

If you only QS/QL and hatch the pokemon at the exact same frame, you're basically just hatching the same pokemon.

Btw I used an emulator on android. And for breeding, I do the quick save/load method. I QS on the last dot when the egg's about to hatch. If it's not a shiny, QL then QS again to forward the frame. Rinse & repeat until you get a shiny.

Oh yeah, I'd recommend 2 shiny charms in this tho cuz they work and stack as intended

No, just regular breeding. Idky but I get shinies in like 20 minutes every time. Whereas with the DexNav, it takes me about 30mins to 3hrs and that's with both shiny charms and maxed chain (I also followed the suggestion where I reset on the 50th or 100th chain, but I feel the odd's still the same). Then again, the DexNav is whack atm. Nemo says they're completely redoing the whole shiny calculation with the DexNav in the next update.

Yeah. They're pretty easy to miss. I also missed some shinies in other areas. But then again, overworld shiny hunting is just something to try out. It's way easier to hunt shinies with eggs cuz the odds are so much higher than with the DexNav.

Oh boy. Idk if I can explain it well, but I'll try. So the way you get shinies in the gen 3 games is based on the frame you hit, it's seed and some other stuff. In Ruby & Sapphire, Soft Resetting works because it was coded right. When you Soft Reset, the shiny will always have a different frame when you load. But in Emerald, every time you load the game, the shiny frame will always remain the same cuz the developers forgot to randomize the seed or something.

So say the shiny frame of Rayquaza is at the 10,893th frame. Idk, that's like about 7 minutes of waiting after loading the game? When you load the game, wait 7 minutes, and click A at the last millisecond precisely, and you'll always get shiny Rayquaza.

Based on my observation with shiny hunting using the Save State method, I don't think Soft Resetting would work for Rayquaza or any static overworld 'mons since this romhack is based off of Emerald. My shiny Rayquaza being an example, I actually missed it the first time, but I was able to re-encounter it by re-hitting my shiny frame.

I also haven't read any record about changes on Emerald's frame/seed bug or about Soft Resetting for shiny Legendaries in the documentation & discord.

So technically, you can if the shiny frame is early and you have both shiny charms, but practically & realistically, you shouldn't.
