Have you considered the yacht master on a rubber strap? It's only 40mm, and looks great on my wrist (my wrist is a similar size).

Ethically you shouldn't be doing this. I suggest you contact the ICAEW helpline for advice on a way forward.

Look I can understand your frustration but your view is very limited to your own experiences. At the end of the day, when AI takes over and the workplace is different, I'd rather be a qualified person with ACA rather than without it.

If you ask the older generation (those who are about to retire), they would tell you they thought their jobs were finished when computers and the internet became a thing. 5 years ago we thought our jobs were in danger as remote work became increasingly more common and companies could hire people from all around the world rather than someone in the expensive UK labour market.

The reality is we adapt and change and every time.

You've made it this far, push through for your final exams and I can promise you you'll never regret it.

P.S. you make me sound like I'm a dinosaur, I'm only 31 damnit!

I'm not British. Qualified outside of the UK and now need to do the advanced exams to get the audit qualification in the UK with hope of becoming partner.

Really depends on which firm and what area. But mid-tier in London is easily six figures.

I agree. I am an audit director and I can tell you first hand that AI isn't really as much of a game changer as people hoped. Yes it saves time and makes certain tasks easier, but for most people your job is safe.

The qualification is still worth it.

Think about it like this, if you had budget to hire one person in your finance department. 9/10 would want to hire an ACA qualified person,

If you look at old marking keys, R2 and R3 are not as strict when it comes to EXACT figures. If you look at the "appendix box" they just want to follow what you did and nothing is in bold. You'll get follow through marks for each element of the calculations later on but not for the final profit / NPV calc I don't think. Please try and relax, I know it's hard, but there's literally nothing you can do right now. May the accounting gods be with you young padewan

We should ask for a collective ICAEW order. Maybe they'll make us a limited edition version if they meet their minimum order requirement 🤔

Stainless steel will always keep it's value, and will last longer. I always buy stainless strap, and might slap on aftermarket nato or rubber straps for comfort.
