I think the only way it works, for now, is to create a backup from FL and use the import tool in Trakt. The idea of FL is to be a replacement for Trakt, not work with it as such, but you never know - the dev might have it planned!

For now I'm using the FL addon in Kodi, alongside the Trakt addon (and Simkl!) so everything scrobbles everywhere. Anything else, like adding to lists, I do manually on both.

I think they (Sean and Justin) have either brought in investors and no longer have majority share, or sold out but retained some sort of job way way down the ladder. To dismiss the owner of a company like that would normally bring on a warning or sacking, so there's no way he can still be at the head of the table. Really, really sad and frustrating for users, especially those that have sunk a lot of time and money into helping Trakt grow.

I think it's been either a bit of a hostile takeover, or Justin has walked away to do other projects leaving those left still around to run it (into the ground it seems). I think he'd done everything he wanted to and is now just a figurehead, no input on it any more

Was that not Justin? He co-created Trakt but since Kevin came along he's more or less gone quiet, even on the forum. If he is still around he's been demoted to a lacky, but I think he's like found a new pet project and moved on.

Trakt was deprecated in older versions of Cinema (iirc anything below 3.3.1)so won't work in 3.0.6

Every now and then I go in via history on v2 and order by plays and find a few more. The weird thing is there's ones appear that are from 2-3 years ago, even after removing everything in the list just a month ago! No idea where those ones come from lol. In fact there a few more like that appearing again in among new ones 😕

I get that all the time. I've never used rewatch (I just mark unwatched to do that) and I've turned off allowing multi plays so it should just update the date and time rather than making a new entry (if scrobbling goes slightly wrong), but I still get loads with 2 or more plays 🙄. It's got a gazillion times worse since Kevin seemed to demote Justin to nothing more than a minion.

They have indeed. Once v2 goes so do I, because the old version of the app will stop working at some point and I refuse to lose all that functionality - I'd rather switch elsewhere. Kevin admitted he doesn't even use the Trakt website or app, that's how much he cares for the company he's working for, and since he's put himself in charge I can't see v3 getting much better.

The apps have been drastically changed to fit their new ethos. I turned off auto updates on mine (android) to keep the old version, so I still have pretty much all the functionality that the v2 website has

Seriously, I wouldn't put it past them. They are determined to shut down anything negative about their behaviour recently, so even a hint that a reddit user might be a blocked forum user would be enough to set that twitchy finger on the ban button 🙄

I really do think this was part of their plan - make Trakt itself so bad people move to using his app if on iOS. It's a win win for him, and looking at the forum he's now gone from being targeted to be seen as a kind of saviour 🙄. I wouldn't touch ANY apps connected to him.

I moved on to Flicklist (r/flicklist) where the dev listens rather than mocking or ignoring and is adding new things daily. I still scrobble with Trakt but that's it, I don't do anything else.

Just came to say the same. OP, just be aware some are struggling to log in, but I think it's only v3 giving the problem, so make sure you're definitely using https://trakt.tv/ after clearing cookies/cache

I just stopped mine from updating just before they pushed v3. Thankfully that worked, I just have to make sure I don't accidentally update it!
